The dining area was freezing when the front door opened though and the staff were not allowed to shut the outer doors to prevent this happening as the management declined our request and that of multiple other diners. This did have a significant negative impact on our experience unfortunately.

Alvanley Arms – TarporleyI found this place for myself and a friend to meet half way for a lunch time meal. The pub had a lovely atmosphere, set in a lovely place Staff were really attentive and not pushy. Gave us plenty of time to order. Food was freshly prepared and hot. This was about a 45 min drive for both me and my friend and we’ve both said we’d return. Standard value for a nice lunch ( we had 2 courses). Would recommend to friends and family and will look forward to returning
