Panama Hattys Restaurant & Bar – TarporleyGood food, service excellent. Enjoyed a good lunch with a friend.
The Carriers Inn – FrodshamMy partner & I visited here for tea recently. The main positives for me were: - The main course (chicken kebab) was delicious & a good portion size. My partner had the mixed kebab & thoroughly enjoyed it. Mains also came with a sizeable complimentary side salad. - The decor was lovely & inviting. - Friendly service from the waitresses. Negatives: - We had a ‘sharing platter’ for our starter which was disappointing. Being £15 we expected it to be quite large & ‘platter’ like but it was just 2 chicken wings, 2 small pieces of halloumi, 2 meatballs & 2 small pastry rolls. Wouldn’t buy again. - We visited on a hot day however the restaurant could do with more air con / ventilation as it was very warm in there. - Although the waitresses were friendly the service was very slow & we were waiting a long time for the bill. Overall I would visit again as the main course was delicious but there’s definitely room for improvement.
Antalya Bistro – Ellesmere PortWe had sunday lunch. We enjoyed it that much we went back the next week
Egerton Arms Astbury – CongletonFantastic
Bacchus Restaurant – MacclesfieldWonderful meal with amazing service! Will definitely be returning time and time again. Excellent portion sizes and the food was fresh and extremely tasty!! What a beautiful gem nestled in little Sutton!
The Cheshire Yeoman – Ellesmere PortWe felt very pampered on our first meal out at Bacchus by the very personable staff. You can see how they make a living in Prestbury; what they do, they do well, and there appeared to be several local 'regular' customers in on the night we dined to testify to this. The menu contained enough familiarity to keep those regulars coming whilst also being competent, well presented and 'special' enough to make a visit an occasion. The wine list had genuine moments of eye-watering entertainment whilst also offering some decent choices for mere mortals like us. For where they are and the quality of the offering, we thought they offer really good value for the money. We were there on a Wednesday, so not every table was occupied, but we can imagine it gets busier/bustlier at weekends. If it doesn't, it should do. For some this might help build that sense of occasion. But it might also mean that the staff had more time for us because it wasn't heaving. Swings and roundabouts. Would happily dine here again. And hope to when we're next in the area.
Bacchus Restaurant – MacclesfieldLovely afternoon T, couldn't fault it. Good service and we had a lovely sunny day. Sandwiches were fresh, scone warm and a good selection of cakes.
Mere Court Restaurant – Knutsfordwife had the belly pork which she absolutely loved it. i had teh curry which had a little heat which was lovely and it was so tasty chips to die for . WSe were stuffed so didnt have a sweet. Love the yoeman such a chilled place , the food is spot on and the staff are friendly and helpful cant fault it
The Cheshire Yeoman – Ellesmere PortLovely atmosphere and staff
The Ship Inn – MacclesfieldFirst time was on Saturday 4th June for lunch. Food was lovely and worth every penny but the atmosphere was glum to say the least. No one smiled, no cheery greeting, it was just a miserable atmosphere. If it had felt happy and welcoming it would be perfect but unfortunately it was rather depressing so we won’t be returning.
Egerton Arms Astbury – CongletonNice food, ok service, food well over priced! We started with the nacho sharer, it was £18.95 and I expected much more for this price. The dip bowl was only enough for one person and the nachos would have cost a pound in the supermarket. My husband then ordered a steak which was £22.95, I thought was an average price until the waitress said it didn’t include any chips or sauce, who would just order a steak with no sides. A glass of coke was £5 and then when we asked for the bill there was a 10% service charge added on top! We like the place but will not be visiting again anytime soon at those prices!
Panama Hattys Restaurant & Bar – TarporleyFantastic Italian restaurant, great Roman food with good menu options, makes a great change from the normal menu offered at (Italian) chain restaurants… The owner is very friendly and provides great service at a reasonable price. Would highly recommend
Carbonara at No 49 – ChesterThat was a best meal yet at Lilac Cottage and we had a few Food service ambience first class Disappointing one diner brought her Corgi in to the restaurant allowed it to bark and wander on a long lead - but hey that’s not the fault of Lilac Cottage - that’s simply a selfish attitude of a local resident
Lilac Cottage Tapas & Wine Bar – MacclesfieldWe all had a thoroughly enjoyable evening.
The Ship Inn – MacclesfieldSunday roast was beautiful as usual and then roasties wow! Only thing that disappointed us was the Yorkshire puddings,I’m sure they used to be home made but these were frozen and reheated so not very good at all get the home made a back!
The Cheshire Yeoman – Ellesmere PortWe visited Panama Hatty's on Wednesday 31st May to celebrate my wife's 60th birthday with two other family members, and from the minute we walked in we were treated excellently. The gentleman who greeted us (so sorry did not get your name) showed us to our table, then he and Ella served us throughout the evening. Just after we arrived I asked if a taxi could be arranged and the response was, "Leave it with me Sir.". Drinks were ordered, we weren't rushed into ordering our food, but when it arrived it was simply outstanding. In no particular order between four of us, ribs that simply fell off of the bone, chicken wings the like I have never tasted before, salmon, a Claypot with fish, mussels, prawns, and sizzling beef Fajita. At 9pm we waited for our taxi which did not arrive (even though they said they had turned up!) Problem? No, again the gentleman rang around various other firms and got us another taxi within 20 minutes. In a nutshell, our experience at this restaurant, along with Ella and the other lovely gentleman (again sorry we did not get your name), topped off what had been a lovely 60th birthday for my wife, and I cannot fault it, it's a 5* from me.
