Fantastic afternoon for my mum's 75th birthday. Lovely atmosphere, staff friendly and helpful. We had such a nice afternoon. One of the best afternoon teas we have had. Mum really enjoyed her birthday here. Would definitely visit agian.

Pacino's, A truly culinary experience . Food excellent as always. Been coming here past 30 years. Best Italian I have ever eaten at. Try it. You'll keep coming back Greg and his team always give a very warm welcome .

This was my second visit, and once again, I was not disappointed. The food was cooked to perfection. The roast beef and buttered turkey were amazing. My one gripe was that there wasn't enough vegetables provided on the Christmas menu, (no carrots as an example) but that is down to my personal preference. I was, once again, impressed by the staff and ambiance that the location provides. The quality of the food per-se, coupled with the very favourable cost overall is fantastic. I cannot overstate how good this venue really is. With roaring fires, a cosy and welcoming atmosphere, on top of the perfectly cooked food, at a very reasonable price, is a gem of a find. Will be visiting again, that's for sure.

First time visit and very enjoyable, hotel is lovely and fabulous Christmas decorations. Couple of minor observations, we were largely on our own in the dining room which doesn't have the ambience of the other rooms in the hotel but is still very nice. Staff are lovely but could have been a little more attentive and we agree with another reviewer about switching the smoked salmon sandwiches if that is an option. Will definitely return for either drinks or food or both as it is a lovely place, wish we had tried it sooner.

We booked a table for my Mother in-law's birthday... We received a warm and friendly welcome on arrival. The food was excellent....tasty and hot. All the staff were attentive and extremely polite. They surprised my mother in-law with a cake and a candle .... which was very thoughtful and made the evening extra special. I would highly recommend.

Fantastic meal,service and ambiance as usual

Christmas Lunch Party for 21 of us. Great service and good food. Enjoyed by everyone. We had the full Christmas Menu and everyone was happy with the choices available and food provided. Good choice of beers to help with the festive feel. The staff and chef worked hard to deliver to us and another group over the lunchtime period. It was a great venue for a group party. The main courses could have been slightly hotter, but due to our party size we recognise the challenge to serve everyone at the same time.

Called in on the way home. I had a hot chicken sandwich, which was really nice. My Mum had the steak pie, which she said was delicious. The staff were lovely, and the pub was really nice and friendly. I have been many times as I have always had lovely food and a lovely experience.

Having booked for a group of us, and having studied the Christmas menu, we were disappointed on the day not to be able to chose from that menu. Apparently we had to book in advance, and yet despite a number of confirmation emails of the bookng nowhere did I see we had to chose in advance. The food we had was fine, but not what we were hoping for.

Our favourite place. Excellent in every way. We have NEVER had a bad experience. A family favourite for all ages

Great pub with excellent food., good beer and friendly staff. Be aware though that children can’t eat inside the pub, so not really young family friendly.

We visited on 19th dec 2025 for lunch well what can i say the food was very tasty the only think was i had the chicken dish and didn't come with veg which for me was a little disappointing, the staff were lovely, look forward to my next visit

Visited with family for a meet up before Christmas. Great atmosphere..warm and welcoming environment. Staff were fantastic and attentive. Food was delicious and very good value for money.
