Enjoyed a lovely Christmas lunch. Everything was great, the food, the atmosphere and value for money.

The four of us have been several times to the Mere Court Hotel for Afternoon Tea, and really enjoyed it. However, our trip on 22 December was different. The overall atmosphere was good, service by the waitress was good, however we all felt the standard and taste of the sandwiches were not up to standard. The salmon was strong tasting and smelling and the turkey was very dry and the cranberry sauce tasted very different, not nice different. This was our Christmas treat and there were no crackers at the table - good job I bought our own. The scones and cakes were ok. I think the overall feeling was disappointment.

Great Sunday lunch with vegetarian options at the Alvanley Arms. We love that they do fresh vegetables , quality food and good size portions. The pub is warm and cosy with real fires and nicely decorated for Christmas. Friendly helpful staff too.

Following a brisk walk up to Bosley Cloud we came to the Coach and Horses for lunch. I had already booked through the online booking facility as I couldn't get through on the phone, and the table was reserved and ready for us. Two of us had the home made Chicken and Haggis pie, and the other two had Roast Beef. The food was excellent, as was the friendly service, lovely warm atmosphere in front of the roaring wood burner, and the value for money. Highly recommended.

Had a lovely meal at The Plough, meals were delicious and good value for money. Staff were friendly.

Christmas lunch for 22 of us. Great service and good food. All at the Poachers worked hard. Well done !

We went for afternoon tea for my husbands birthday yesterday, it was really lovely. We have been to Mere court before but this time was different. We were met at the door by the manager and taken to our table, or we could have just stayed in the beautifully festive dressed bar for a drink. We went to the table in the window of a newly decorated large room overlooking the three water fountains in the grounds. The service and the food just lived up to and beyond our expectations Thank you The service and the food

Lovely and warm on a wet December evening. Good choice of food. I had the cheese and onion pie and my husband had the beef stroganoff and they were both delicious and very good portions. Plates were hot too which is a bonus.

Lovely little atmospheric cafe/restaurant hidden away in Nantwich. Easy on line booking system. We had a delicious christmas quiche, highly reccomend it. This was my second visit but I will be making it a regular even if its only for a coffee and one of the delicious cakes on offer. Thank you for great service too.

We visited Bacchus in Prestbury last night and enjoyed an excellent meal. The staff were very welcoming and professional and the environment most relaxing. Highly recommend.

Pacino's is - and has always been - one of the best places in Chester for excellent food and service. We are lucky to have such a wonderful local restaurant.

Lovely evening with friends to celebrate my 70th birthday. Complete with balloon and table firework in the dessert. Great food choice and friendly staff. Fast service. Cosy atmosphere. Huge portions . Brilliant evening .
