Excellent lunch. Food good. Faultless service. Good ambience. Not cheap but quality is worth paying for

We have been to this restaurant many times and keep coming back because we can't fault it . On the 6 September we had lunch and it was superb. The food and service were excellent and despite it being very busy there were no delays with service and the waiters were friendly and so efficient.

Once again a delicious meal, I ALWAYS have the ribs and every time, the meat melts away from the bone! Incredible

My wife had hunters chicken, I think she got the hunter not the chicken, so tough, she had to ask for the peas that were supposed to be with meal. I had well done 14oz steak, it was well & truly overdone, so, so dry, no moisture at all, and the chips were disgusting, ridiculously dry, bother meals were well below the standard we've enjoyed at the yeoman for a number of years, I always thought of it as pub attached to a restaurant staffed by good chefs. But now it is just a pub serving more or less over priced bar food, prepared in the kitchen by a total amateur. On the plus side the staff & drinks were very nice. Please please get your act together, we won't be coming again for a long time. Very sad.

Great restaurant, nice atmosphere and really friendly nice staff. This was my 3rd visit here, but I found all the food very bland this time with not much taste. The waitresses were lovely but we had 4 of them serving us at different times and felt rushed. Would like to come here again, but not sure I will.

Another excellent meal (gammon steaks) for our special occasion. A pleasure to eat where there is genuine traditional atmospere and service.

We had afternoon tea which was my mum's treat for her 86th Birthday. The hotel gave my mum a complimentary special cup cake and chocolates, and candle for her Birthday. It is a lovely hotel, we noticed it has had an update. Lovely venue for a treat, party or wedding - lovely grounds. We will be going back.

We enjoyed an excellent Sunday lunch at Bacchus last weekend. Three substantial and tasty courses for £37.50 per person represented excellent value and there was a good choice of wine to complement the meal. The service was of a high standard and friendly without being intrusive. All in all, an experience we look forward to repeating soon.

The Sunday lunch was delicious and highly recommended. The pub is very cosy with amazing views from the beer garden.

Excellent all round. The food was amazing and plenty of it. The mixed roast was delicious and the meat was perfect. The waitress was very informative and friendly. Will definitely be back soon.

Service was great but that's all I would rather go to a soup kitchen then eat here again for £60 the food was disgusting hunters chicken wrapped in bacon fat not bacon belly pork all grisly and the beef and ale pie was vile left the feeling very disappointed and will not return so avoid avoid avoid

One of the best restaurants in the area. The food is always excellent, and the service spot on. It manages to be quite formal and traditional without any of the stuffiness. The wine list is spectacular and whilst it will not be a cheap night out, I believe offers great value.

Fabulous food great flavors. Staff so polite, plesant & friendly. Good selection of drinks & cocktails.Great price's too,well worth a visit,highly recommend, I took my wife for her birthday & when we ordered dessert they brought an extra dessert out with a couple of candles in it,my wife was so pleased, it was a lovely surprise from them thank you for a lovely evening. The Poachers is a lovely traditional pub offering a wide selection of beers and other brews. Good choice of food from the menu just a bit disappointed that gammon was not on it. So I had the fried chicken with gunpowder potatoes. A fiery meal indeed! One whinge was the table was still sticky from previous diners

We came for lunch here on 28th August. The place was lovely. Staff were very polite and friendly. I’m gluten free & the menu for that was really good with a lot of choices. Everyone enjoyed their meal & we will come back again in the future. The only downside was after we paid the bill & got back home & looked at the receipt we had been charged for an extra drink that we didn’t order. Next I will check the receipt before we pay.
