Bacchus Restaurant – MacclesfieldWhat a hidden gem - great to find a lovely little restaurant near the theatre and with parking nearby. Terrific, friendly service and a good atmosphere with pre-theatre diners. Food was lovely. Many thanks.
Pacino’s – ChesterMe and my husband visited while staying the night in Chester. I had pre booked it in advance which I would advise as it quickly filled up after we arrived for our 7pm booking. The staff were lovely! The food was absolutely amazing, full of flavour and perfect portion sizes. The value for money is brilliant. I was shocked when we received the bill but in a good way! I was expecting to pay over £100 as we both had starters, a main course each (one had seafood in so usually costs more) and a side dish (which we requested it wasn't on the menu) we both also had 2 alcoholic drinks each and it cost just over £60! I would return in a heartbeat when we visit chester again as we have been to a few Italians in Chester and this was the by far the best we have had, I would highly recommend here for a lovely Italian meal that isn't overpriced and still gives excellent quality for the food.
Pacino’s – ChesterAmazing place and very well looked after. Very polite and friendly staff. The food was amazing too and not expensive but great value for money. We will definitely be returning and bringing the family next time.
Alvanley Arms – TarporleyVery enjoyable visit again yesterday. Pre theatre dinner. Service was excellent and the food was delicious as usual. Good wine too and reasonably priced. It was busy but they coped with everyone really well.

Pacino’s – ChesterBeen a few times and really not everything about Heaton Social
Heaton Social – StockportIt was the first time that my family had visited Pacino’s and we were in no way disappointed. There was a good variety of dishes to choose from that suited the taste of everyone in our party. The service was very good and helpful and the food was very well cooked and delicious. We couldn’t have asked for anything more and intend to visit Pacino’s again in the near future.
Pacino’s – Chesteralways had great food here, staff are friendly and atmosphere is nice and relaxed. Menu is small but with a nice variety to suit different tastes.
White Lion at Alvanley – FrodshamI visited Pacinos with friends on a quiet Wednesday evening. It is our favourite restaurant. As always we were greeted by Gregg who is charming and welcoming and we took our seats knowing that our evening would be relaxed with delicious food, excellent service and great value for money. Pacinos is often described as Chester's hidden gem. This is so true. Looking forward to our next visit.
Pacino’s – ChesterI had the pigeon breast starter which was overcooked and tough and my wife had the whipped burrata which was light and pleasant. For mains my wife had Plaice fillet with shrimp dressing which she enjoyed very much. I had the chicken supreme with mushroom cream which I thought was superb. The chicken breast was so succulent and tasty and all washed down with a lovely Sauvignon Blanc. For dessert we shared a cheese board and a glass of port. Overall, very satisfied with the meal and it was also good value. Unfortunately, the piped music tried to ruin our evening, being too loud and of dubious quality. (Breakfast was also ruined by the same intrusive and inescapable dross coming through the speakers throughout the public spaces)
Mere Court Restaurant – KnutsfordHad a lovely lunch here on Wednesday 19th March 2025, the food was delicious and an excellent service, will definitely be coming here again. Thank you.
The Carriers Inn – FrodshamExcellent food and service at a reasonable price. A little bit noisy at the time we were there, but that's probably due to the afore mentioned food and service. I would recommend trying this venue, but, best book in advance. It is quite popular.
The Plough at Whitegate – NorthwichHad a few of the Tuesday Fish, chips & peas for £10 offer. Absolutely delicious and great value, the fish is huge. The staff are lovely and attentive.
The Plough at Whitegate – NorthwichWe visited as a family for a Sunday roast. The food was absolutely stunning, we couldn’t fault a thing. They offer a small adult portion which is great as the portions are very generous. The atmosphere is lovely and they have an outside eating area for the warmer months. The only thing that I was a little disappointed about was the young girl who brought out food over pretty much slammed them down other than that I would rate 10/10
Alvanley Arms – TarporleyMoved to the area recently and recommended as a stop on a dog walk. Decided to book Sunday dinner. Full menu available but the trio Sunday roast looked too good to miss. Very impressed with portion size for main meal. Not as great for pudding as a bit small for the price although quality was excellent. Overall good value for money. We will return
The Plough at Whitegate – NorthwichGreat food, good service as ever. Won't go for Sunday roast anywhere else. Different class ! Thank you.
The Plough at Whitegate – NorthwichProbably the BEST Sunday roast myself and my husband have ever had. We both had the mixed meat - turkey, pork and beef - all 3 were cooked to perfection but I have to do an extra shout out for the beef.. melt in your mouth amazingness! The roasted veg was delicious, yorkshire pudding was huge, gravy divine. We both had the extras too, cauliflower cheese and pots in blankets (why not!) Service was quick, staff were really efficient, price extremely reasonable. Will we definitely be back 5*
