Lewis’s Bistro – GrasmereWe have had a few meals at The Pheasant Inn and we’re going back tonight for our last meal in Keswick. The food is lovely and generous portions. The staff are very friendly and helpful. We came once last year and decided we would come back this year. Highly recommend this pub.
Pheasant Inn – KeswickExcellent food and atmosphere, great surroundings without the elevated prices charged by nearby hotels. Waiting staff were great, very friendly and attentive. Great to know that a quality place like this is available in the heart of Grasmere.
Lewis’s Bistro – GrasmereNice relaxed place with attentive waiting staff. Food great and good portions (both had the lamb), French onion soup was magnifique
Lewis’s Bistro – GrasmereThe website is excellent, as is the service and food

La Mezzaluna – CarlisleA really nice building full of character. The food was delicious and reasonably priced, the staff friendly and polite.
The Wheatsheaf at Beetham – MilnthorpeBooked dinner based on reviews as we planned to stay overnight in Penrith on route to Scotland. Grants certainly did not disappoint. Not the most obvious location but very central and easy to find, we had booked a hotel round the corner. Interesting menu with perfectly acceptable options, friendly and attentive service. Food was excellent quality and reasonably priced. All in all a really good find and somewhere worth visiting again. Would happily recommend to anyone looking for good food served well.
Grants Of Castlegate – PenrithLovely meal and great service
La Mezzaluna – CarlisleMy partner enjoyed the roast beef meal. The beef was very tasty but I did not like all the ingredients stacked on top of each other. The roast potatoes had no crispy edges and only just cooked and the veg too Al Dante. Very disappointed, shame as the service was very good , attractive pub and the land lord very welcoming.
The Wheatsheaf at Beetham – MilnthorpeHad an evening meal here with my wife on Friday 3rd June. It was truly an outstanding dining experience. The service was excellent and the food was out of this world. We both had the Halibut as we are massive fish eaters and we can honestly say it was one of the finest fish meals we have ever had! It was a thoroughly enjoyable experience and the next time we are in Grasmere we will definitely be booking again!
Lewis’s Bistro – GrasmereMezzaluna is my favourite Italian restaurant in Carlisle. The food is fantastic and the staff are great.
La Mezzaluna – CarlisleWe came across this pub when we did a walk around the fairy steps in April on our way to the lakes, so on a return to the iakes we booked in for lunch on our way. The food is delicious, 1 ham and eggs and 1 salmon. We both then had brownie with ice cream followed with coffee. The staff are great and friendly. We highly recommend
The Wheatsheaf at Beetham – MilnthorpeOnce again we enjoyed an excellent meal ay the Wheatsheaf. As usual the staff were great and could not do enough to make the night special. The menu is somewhat limited and it would be good to extend the choice or change some of the dishes on offer.
The Wheatsheaf at Beetham – MilnthorpeGood food and relaxed, friendly service in a beautiful setting. We hope to be back!
