La Mezzaluna – CarlisleWhile on holiday in Grasmere we were looking for places to eat in the evening. I don’t think we could have found a better place than Lewis’s.The food was superb and although busy the staff were on the ball and we were served promptly. The atmosphere was lovely. In fact the whole experience was so good we booked again.
Lewis’s Bistro – GrasmereWhat a gem!! We’ve been visiting Grasmere for years and have only recently found the wonderful Lewis’s Bistro! The food was divine and the service was excellent. We will be back! X
Lewis’s Bistro – GrasmereAbsolutely fantastic afternoon tea - could not believe what you got for the money and really it should have been a lot more than I paid! Beautiful setting, comfortable, amazing food would highly recommend Quiet atmosphere- would have been good to have some background music
The Music Room Restaurant at Augill Castle – Kirkby StephenAmazing food but we got sat way too close to other people, specially considering that there were other tables free. The decor of the restaurant and atmosphere doesn’t match how good the food is. If those too things had been better it’s worth the money ! Service was good too.
Grants Of Castlegate – PenrithAfternoon tea was fabulous a little different but excellent staff and owner friendly
The Music Room Restaurant at Augill Castle – Kirkby StephenWe had a fantastic meal here this week. The food was delicious and the service friendly and efficient. I also really liked the imaginative options for kids. We felt very welcome. Oo and the chocolate cake pudding was amazing!!

The Wheatsheaf at Beetham – MilnthorpeRegarding complaint by customer. You are upset because you could not be found a table to dine in this pub. This is The Lake District and always busy. They cannot hold tables (just in case you turn up) Stop complaining and start chilling!
Rose and Crown Cark Inn – Grange-over-SandsBeautiful pub, warm welcome, cosy atmosphere. Fish was beautiful. Waitress superb.
