The meal was excellent beautiful food and the staff were so helpful

Enjoyed Sunday lunch at the Hope & Anchor. Staff were great and the Roast was excellent.

We have visited this pub a few times and the food is always excellent and service great but yesterday we met family for Sunday lunch, the service is always pleasant and efficient which it still was but the food was not up to the standard we are used to here, the plates were cold therefore food not too warm and the game stew was lacking any veg and the nut roast could have had a Yorkshire pudding equivalent and then we waited ages for puddings which were coolish again. Really disappointed on this occasion as we love meeting here.

Service was good and food well prepared and tasty. Quality of the food was very good. It was disappointing that the hand pump beers were all unavailable. Quality of the wine could be improved.

Lovely friendly staff who helped make our 40th wedding anniversary meal so special. The food was amazing, nothing but praise from our guests. We will be back next time we are back in the area, highly recommend.

We had a very good meal at Lewis's Bistro. We had booked in advance which was fortunate as the Bistro was fully booked. Food was great, the service was friendly too. Would definitely re-visit if we are in the area.

The staff went out of their way to make sure they could provide an allergy safe meal for my grandson. The food was very good and he ate it all. The time they gave to make sure he was fed was very much appreciated.

Excellent meal on Friday evening, fantastic quality food, professional well trained team of staff were producing exceptional customer service throughout the restaurant. Which created a tremendous atmosphere and vibe in the building. Well done to all the team.

5* food ! The fillet steak melted in our mouths it was so tender . Lovely small intimate restaurant with very friendly & attentive staff . It will definitely become our regular “go to “ . Highly recommend.

A little gem in Grasmere booked last minute on Saturday- super busy - service was very good despite full house staff were very attentive. Food was fabulous , good choices, excellent quality and beautiful presentation- highly recommended

This is our 3rd visit over the last couple of years and we have never been disappointed. Portion sizes are generous, piping hot and delicious. Great for walkers and those that just want a tasty home cooked meal. Thoroughly recommend the beef shin special and gammon but the crumble was something else! A must every time we visit Keswick!
