Our first visit. Very tasty pizzas, and friendly service, would recommend. Pub large enough not to feel crowded.

Not been to Maxys for a while but we were pleased with the food we had. A 'Go Large' sandwich. Relaxing environment & very pleasant friendly staff.

First time I've ever been on Fathers Day, and will 100% be rushing back to eat there again it was fantastic. Hands down the best pâté I've ever had, service was excellent and the venison was to die for! All 3 course where absolutely spot on. Can't wait to return

Wonderful! Took my Dad for dinner on Father’s Day and we really enjoyed our evening. Cosy place, nice atmosphere, all the staff (and service) were fantastic. The food was delicious (and nice and hot too). Thank you! Would definitely recommend.

Our 1st visit here on father's day We booked a table via the website I tried to call several times to add another person to the booking was always the answer phone, emailed and left a voicemail but didn't get a response luckily we were able to add a another table when we arrived The service was ok but wasnt really explained how to order food, whether you are served at the table or had to go to the bar to order Our table was in the function room which was very noisy to say there were only 3 more tables in there Overall the food was really good and came out in a timely manner

First time here, had the meat platter for 2 to start and 2 roast lamb for main, couldnt fault it, excellent service too. Will definitely eat here again

Staff are always so welcoming. We had a fishy lunch - the mussels starter was superb, and the main of monkfish, clams, prawns and mussels was very tasty, although it would have been good to have the option of spaghetti with it. Having said that, I am sure if we had asked it would have been made available to us. We will definitely go back.

We arrived at 2pm a party of 10, seated quickly and drinks ordered. Lots of other large parties so expected to wait a while but food was ordered and arrived all together, totally delicious, lots of choice for us all and great service. We will be coming back soon.

went for Fathers day Sunday lunch. prompt service, the Sunday roast was beautiful, hot and extra gravy. the cauliflower cheese was exceptional. had the Bakewell tart which again was exceptional, would recommend it.

Excellent food and service with a picturesque setting on a summer evening next to the pond. Chicken liver starter superb and plentiful!
