Myself and two friends visit the station hotel for lunch regularly ,the food is always excellent and very good value, the staff are friendly and helpful

Huge change from the old whitchaff! You wouldn’t recognise it.. the food was excellent but few vegetarian/vegan choices.. it has a good atmosphere and staff were attentive and friendly. Reasonable value as well. We would recommend the whitchaff to freinds and family.

Food was lovely, staff were really friendly. Would love to come again soon.

Came for lunch with my daughter and niece. The service was absolutely excellent and the ladies who served us could not do enough and were friendly and attentive. The food was amazing, we ordered 2 KFC burgers and the popcorn chicken of the kids menu followed by the French toast. My only small criticism with the French toast was the bread tasted like it had been fried in old oil so had that used oil taste.

Food was amazing, restaurant and kitchen really clean, all 3 courses freshly prepared to a very high standard and all staff very polite and professional

As always we fully enjoyed our meal. The quality of food, speed of service & kind / helpful staff was excellent. No hesitation on coming back & recommendation to family & friends.

The food was great as usual and thank you for bringing the 2 cakes out and for catering for our party of 20 people. Just one small negative which was the talking point after the meal. We were rushed off our table by a quite rude waitress, this after you made us wait 20-30 mins for our table in the first place! Disappointing end to a wonderful meal!

Had a fantastic meal once again. Best Italian Resturant in North West, staff are so friendly and knowledgable, Sam, Marizio and Carmela. Always make you feel so welcome . The food os so fresh and delicious, I have tried most things on the menu and have never been disappointed.

We were a party of 7 adults and 3 children pre booked and pre ordered! Great service, great food and great atmosphere. Proud to have this pub in the village.

Sadly the service let this place down. The food was good but an hour and 10 mins wait on food is a bit excessive, especially with a 7 year old. The front of house staff couldn’t have been more apologetic but there was nothing coming out of the kitchen quick enough. We were not the only table complaining! This is the second time my partner had visited since the upgrade and he had the same experience first time round.

The food was good, the staff were very friendly but our order wasn't taken for a good twenty minutes and we weren't told that the Sunday lunchtime booking was an hour and a half per table until we were too slow choosing a dessert. If we had chosen to have starters, I don't think we could have been served and eaten 3 courses in the time allowed.

We had Sunday roast, I had Pork & he had Beef. Tasty food, yummy Yorkshire puds. Asked for apple sauce there was none. Cutlery could be nicer.

Sunday 12th Feb 2023 (Noon) Hearty food and friendly service. (Roast beef dinner for three & Lancashire parkin afters - excellent).

Came here for tea Saturday, table booked for 7pm. Arrived at 7pm there was no one to greet us at the door and we were left hovering around until someone asked us if we’d booked. Once seated we were given menus but no one came to take our drinks order. Got to about 7:20 and a waiter asked if we’d been served, so we ordered our drinks. When the drinks came we asked if we could order food, we ordered 2 starters and 2 mains. All the tables around us had no food but a lot of empty drinks so we knew by this point we’d be waiting a while. The starters came out about 8pm, really nice food. After we’d finished this and the plates were cleared. A waiter brought our 2 exact meals past us, he looked lost, then he carried them to the bar and then back up to the kitchen? At about 8:45 our mains arrived, the same 2 dishes he was carrying before and the food was warm not hot. I had chicken burger and chips, there was about 7 fries on my plate! I asked if this was normal and the girl said no and brought me another portion. Food was nice though just needed to be hotter but this was because it had been sat in the kitchen under the warmer for so long. If we wanted more drinks we had to ask. So the serve was very slow and staff weren’t attentive, but they were kind and helpful when you asked.
