We visited the restaurant to celebrate my mother-in-law’s birthday. While the service was good, we found the food to be quite disappointing. For starters, we ordered the mixed grill. Unfortunately, the seekh kebab was very soggy and lacked flavour, and the chicken tikka was bland. The lamb chops were acceptable, but not particularly memorable. For the main course, the Delhi chicken was enjoyable and well-flavoured; however, the chicken karahi was not to our liking. We also ordered both garlic naan and plain naan, but there was little to distinguish between the two. Overall, we had high expectations, but sadly, the experience did not meet them.

From the moment we arrived we felt welcomed, the lad behind the bar was very professional, even taking our coats (which is most unusual but welcome) Food was delicious Service smooth and efficient and nice to see the owner waiting on tables and chatting to customers A nice relaxed happy atmosphere

We have been twice within 10 days and on both occasions everything was great. Staff were friendly and very obliging. Would strongly recommend.

My partner booked Tabby Teas for my birthday, it was brilliant! The cats were adorable and coffee and cake were delicious too. We will be back to visit the cats again soon I'm sure. Would definitely recommend for any cat lovers out there.

Dined here last night with friends and it did not disappoint! Spicy Marg was delish! Food was fresh & tasty! Ambience was cozy, but was a tad too dark buuuut, will definitely be going back!!

Booked in advance for 2 adults and a dog, after reading reviews and we were staying in the village over the weekend. The pub had hosted a wedding in the afternoon which was still in full swing when we arrived for our table just before 7pm. There was a live music act and the atmosphere was buzzing and lovely. However, we were ‘greeted’ at the door by a middle aged lady who gruffly told us that the bar was too busy and that we could be seated in the area where dogs weren’t usually allowed. We thanked her, but she just rudely told us where to sit. Our order for food and drinks were taken with no smile or warmth, despite us trying to be friendly with her. We both ordered the haddock and chips and asked for vinegar, which was slammed down on the table! The food was also disappointing. The chips were hard as if they had been reheated and the batter on the fish was greasy. The mushy peas had a strange pepper/garlic taste and the bread and butter was not fresh -margarine, not butter. We didn’t stay for pudding, quite honestly, we didn’t want to prolong what was an unpleasant experience. A younger waitress took our payment and she was friendly. We had called in for a drink on the Friday evening and the young man at the bar was equally as unwelcoming-we just wish we had listened to our instincts and cancelled our reservation for the Saturday night. I don’t often write reviews but I can’t remember having such a negative experience or meal out for a very long time. We a regular visitors to this beautiful county and have always found people to be welcoming and friendly. Some staff training is definitely required.

By far the best food place in Middlesbrough !! also the atmosphere and surroundings are just perfect so relaxing and great vibe ! The food is always beautiful we are never disappointed, the staff are excellent ⭐️

Absolutely brilliant restaurant. The food was top quality and the service was also very good. The portion sizes were very big and the meal was very well priced. An excellent experience overall.

Staff polite and appropriate. Service was quick. We both had pizza which was really nice and fresh. Slight error with extra toppings but soon sorted. Will visit again.

Really impressed with this place. The food was spot on, good quality, full of flavour, and you can tell it’s been done properly rather than just thrown together. Atmosphere was great as well. Nice balance where it’s got a bit of a buzz but still relaxed enough to actually enjoy yourself. The whole place just feels easy and welcoming. Service was probably the standout.

Enjoyed a great evening. Food delicious and catered for my awkward dietary requirements. Friendly relaxed but elegant atmosphere. Service was excellent . Wish we lived closer as would love to go again
