Amazing food, lovely staff, great service
Tik Taco – SouthportWe normally go to other Italians in Southport but thought we would have a change and try Robertos for the first time. Initially it seemed nice in there (apart from the fact it was empty and they still sat us near the toilets! I ordered the calamari which was the toughest I have ever tried, my husband had the meatballs which were really bland. The kids shared garlic pizza and you could hardly taste the garlic. By this point I was nervous for the main... My seafood marina was really bland, it was edible but I can't say I was impressed. My husband said his lasagne was ok.. kids enjoyed there bolognaise and chicken nuggets. The salt, pepper and condiments all came in a pit in little sachets (I thought the Italian way was to come with a big pepper grinder) All in all we really didn't enjoy it and won't be returning, apparently years ago this place used to be nice but has definitely gone down hill. I didn't get any Italian authentic feel at all. Waste of money and a waste of going out for tea!
Roberto’s Italian – SouthportLovely atmosphere in Mr Smiths we have eaten here a few times now with friends. The staff are really friendly, knowledgeable and helpful The food is superb. Fresh ingredients, a good choice on the menu. The seabass and the burgers are delicious. Great choice of cocktails, Josh the chef always comes around to check everything is ok. A great place for a nice evening out
Mr Smith’s Parlour – HoylakeA favourite restaurant of ours. The staff are so friendly and helpful. The service is efficient. The food is delicious. And the free sweet dish is a great added touch. The whole experience is relaxed and the prices are very reasonable. We'll be visiting again.
Souvla – Liverpool City CentrePopped in last minute on Saturday evening. Food was spot on, the Awesome Beef particularly tasty. Chicken and the Sticky Rice really good too. Only leaving the atmosphere at 3 due to it being early and the place hadn't filled out so it was quite quiet. Staff were great and the food came out really quickly. Would definitely recommend this place if you like / love Thai food.
Ayuthaya – CrosbyThe starters was lovely the mains come my food was cold I ordered a chicken burrito. Chicken was cold rice was also cold. I was not able to tell the server as nobody come to the table and could not find a staff member.
Whats Cooking – Liverpool City CentreWe have been going to Whats Cooking since opening. I see changes again the chilli burger was nice but no salad garnish or proper chilli on the burger. None on it? Ribs were very nice as usual except now on a wooden board like original ones. Overall nice food just needs Chilli on burger and be great again
Whats Cooking – Liverpool City CentreAbsolutely amazing food was so flavoursome atmosphere was brilliant watching the food being cooked fresh - staff were so friendly nothing was too much trouble - I genuinely cannot say how much this food is brilliant - the flavours the portion sizes the value for money would highly recommend - plus the manager was so friendly an checks on all his customers making sure everything ok - brilliant night fabulous experience absolute hidden gem !
The Wargrave Hacienda – St. HelensWe visited on Thursday. Had booked for 4 but arrived an hour early. We were made extremely welcome. The decor is beautiful and the atmosphere and ambiance was lovely. We felt it was intimate and all in all a fantastic restaurant.
Mr Smith’s Parlour – HoylakeWhen I arrived, it was clear that the staff had thought carefully about where I would be best seated (I use a wheelchair). I dressed for the occasion in a 1920's fashion and this was appreciated by the staff. I was expecting to see some flappers (yes, with an f) but they must have decided to go elsewhere that evening! The service was attentive but not intrusive, even when the place was very busy. I had the scallops to start, which were cooked (grilled, I think) to perfection. Then I had the special of the day as a main course - a fish cake coated in oats with a lovely sauce including tart caper berries for a burst of flavour. I tried the Cattier champagne - a new marque to me - and, given its reasonable price, I was pleasantly surprised by its creaminess and finish. However, that brings me on to the bar service. The champagne had not been chilled at all and took about an hour to reach a drinkable temperature. The staff immediately recognised this issue and put a bottle in the 'fridge'. The pre-dinner (i.e. dry) cocktail that I ordered had simple syrup added and was undrinkable. I had to sent it back. Although some sharpening up may be needed behind the bar, the quality of the food and the attentive service outweighed any negative experiences.
Mr Smith’s Parlour – HoylakeReally great restaurant. The people that work there are so friendly and the food is so lovely and reasonably priced. Highly recommend
Souvla – Liverpool City CentreFirst visit, lovely warm welcome, relaxed friendly vibe to the restaurant. Great service, very attentive, very natural, food first rate and reasonably priced. Will certainly be back
Souvla – Liverpool City CentreWhat a lovely evening, we were greeted and taken to our booth. We were a party of 5 and all had different things to eat, The food was beautiful, presented really well, freshly cooked. I had the chicken, it was cooked to perfection. The staff were excellent too, they were extremely busy but nothing was too much trouble. Thank you for a lovely evening. I have bought a gift voucher so my daughter and son in law can come for a lovely night too x
Mr Smith’s Parlour – HoylakeAs always excellent, come here every European game, Scouse last night, delicious, staff headed by Mark were brilliant too..we dont go anywhere else, says it all really..
Ma Egerton’s Stage Door – Liverpool City CentreThis is a hidden gem worth visiting. Everything was superb, from the food to the staff and the owner. The chalupas and taquitos dorados were delicious, and the birria tacos with melted cheese and the enchiladas were even better. We will definitely come back every time we are in the area. Muchas gracias!!!
The Wargrave Hacienda – St. HelensFood was amazing best Mexican weve ever had. The only issue I had was that I understand they were closing and whilst there where other tables there we felt rushed to finish our food and the bill was brought over when we hadn't even finished. Other than that was amazing and would go back
The Wargrave Hacienda – St. HelensAs ever food fabulous, atmosphere fabulous, staff fabulous ,it was fabulous!
