Had a lovely meal, staff were very welcoming & attentive, food was cooked well & the cocktails were lovely! I had the vegetarian flatbread & my husband had the steak & Steiner deal which was good value, he said it was one of the nicest steaks he’s had. Would definitely recommend & would definitely return!

Went for the first time last night ! It’s amazing I really recommend it here . The service was brilliant, all the staff members were lovely and really accommodating! The food was just fabulous, loads and loads of choice and portion size was fab too. Overall I’m really impressed and I think this is now I’m new favourite restaurant. Thank you I’ll be visiting again soon!

Nice little spot for a pre-theatre meal. Nice food and friendly service. I’d much rather come here than a chain Italian! Food made and served authentically

Had a fantastic family meal with the kids at The Fat Loaf. Food was excellent, staff were lovely, and can't leave a review without mentioning the music playlist, which was fab. Hadn't been for a long, long time, but we won't be leaving it so long next time!

Had a meal tonight, everything was amazing. Staff were attentive and friendly, the menu and food were great, and the steak was genuinely incredible. Really tender, cooked to perfection, cut like butter. Definitely recommened the mac and cheese side and blue cheese sauce. A really good addition to Hazel Grove, will definitely be going back.

Lovely food ,drinks and service especially by Euan he is always lovely and makes the best cocktails. Our favourite place to go.

Excellent food large portions and quality food with lovely staff

Had a fantastic meal at the Huntsman steakhouse on Friday. The steak was cooked to perfection and washed down with the local lager and finished off with a tasty cocktail. The atmosphere was friendly and welcoming and the service from the staff was excellent.

Had a nice meal and a few drinks. My only complaint is that the boerewors didn't taste like boerewors, it was still nice but not boerewors. The Chakalaka and pap was fabulous though! I will definitely be returning, thank you!

Booked a meal at half seven on a Saturday evening. Lots of staff on the bar on arrival, food and rinks orders taken and good service. Food arrived about forty minutes later, together with the offer for another drink. After that the service was terrible, no checking if the food was ok ( the chicken stir fry was gloopy and over flavoured ), seems nearly all the staff went home leaving only two remaining, of which the bar manager went to sit in the bar to do paperwork for nearly half an hour. No more service at the table, no offer for more drinks or even dessert - you missed out there. Not sure we would visit again.

Second visit here and, yet again, it lived up to expectations. We brought another couple who absolutely loved it too. Fantastic food. Great host. Reasonable prices.

The Fat Loaf is a gem on our doorstep. Food is truly excellent, menu suits all tastes and is varied regularly. The quality of the food is truly spot on, well cooked, well presented and then the staff, welcoming, knowledgeable and the customer service impeccable, great place to eat, chat and chill.
