The Denbigh – BexhillHad lunch with Auntie. They had no knowledge of my online booking and it seemed I wasn’t the only one. Sticky table. Filthy ancient carpet. Dogs in dining area. However, food was excellent. Hot plentiful and tasty. Steak and kidney pudding really good. Service friendly. Inexpensive ,left satisfied.
The Denbigh – BexhillBooked in for Sunday roast after it had been recommended by a friend and we weren't disappointed. Wonderful food . Great experience. We will definitely book again , soon .
Macklins at The Riverside – PulboroughWith American visitors we had to suggest burgers at the Globe, and they all agreed they were very good. A decent hunk of beef with delicious chips. The ambience of the Globe is something else; interesting, quirky, different. It’s definitely a comfortable place to be, and the music is just right. Staff are all polite and professional, and made a huge fuss of our dog. Marta in particular is a fantastic host, and makes everyone welcome. Service was slightly let down by a fault with the ordering system resulting in the chefs not seeing the order and a long delay. A shame, as otherwise it’s great. We’ll forgive them. In all honesty it’s a little on the expensive side at times. A pint of Guinness is rather overpriced and I’m not sure about £6 for a handful of chips, delicious as they are. I’d love to see some Shepherds Pie or Sausage and Mash on the menu. For all that the Globe is a smashing pub with a unique atmosphere, a very comfortable place to be. Let’s hope we’re there for many years to come !
The Globe Inn Marsh Rye – RyeWent Friday night on recommendation. Booked early and stayed late. Great fish menu, plenty of choices, but not an over sized menu which made a pleasant change. We were a table of four and everyone chose a different dishes. All the portion were a good sizes and no one went home hungry. Service was fantastic. Fast, attentive and helpful. Pleased we went and we will be back soon.
Into The Blue – Shoreham-by-SeaWe love this restaurant / pub, it's quirky, different but the staff are superb, attentive and the food is always delicious. We come here every year for a catch up before xmas and it's a great place to meet, drink and dine.
The Globe Inn Marsh Rye – Rye2nd Saturday in a row back to into the Blue. This week decided on starter Gravlax beetroot lovely fresh taste, my wife had pepper squid with nice sauce. This was followed by Monkfish Thai style with was very tasty just the right portion size for me. My wife was in two minds the bouillabaisse or Paella she went for the paella which turned out to be a fantastic choice. Such amazing consistency lovely fish restaurant highly recommended
Into The Blue – Shoreham-by-SeaService was great - friendly, warm and speedy. Food was great - very accommodating, with an adaptation of the menu for my son. The pub has a traditional feel, don’t expect modern furnishings, but nevertheless, was fine. The outdoor space looked great - we didn’t use it as it was cold and we were dining indoors, but definitely somewhere to return to in the warmer months.
The Denbigh – BexhillWe had a very pleasant experience - good food, good service and good value. We will go back.
Into The Blue – Shoreham-by-SeaOnce again excellent food and service, one of our favourite restaurants.
Into The Blue – Shoreham-by-SeaWarm and cosy. Great atmosphere with good service and excellent food and wine. Highly recommend the three fish pie. Delicious
The Denbigh – BexhillGreat place to eat especially if you have food intolerances. I am gluten and dairy free and there were so many choices available, I was really happy because eating out is difficult for me, normally I do not have many options that are both gluten and dairy free. I was really impressed, the food was so good. I had a BLT and chips, Cherry Bakewell flapjack and a coconut cappuccino! All amazing. I would definitely recommend a visit.
Hartfields – UckfieldDelicious steak and kidney pudding
The Denbigh – BexhillFabulous food and a great atmosphere.
The Globe Inn Marsh Rye – RyeGreat experience on a cold Friday evening, busy, loud, lively, friendly. Great service, great food, great ambience - 3 sisters came to visit and loved it! Fish pie, Lamb pie both great - wine cold and lovely...
The Globe Inn Marsh Rye – RyeThe service was great and the oysters, dover sole and bouillabaisse were excellent. Thank you for a great evening.
Into The Blue – Shoreham-by-SeaFood was mediocre for the ramen night. We sadly left hungry. It was cold in the pub that our son and myself wore our coats for the duration of the meal. Our son ordered off the normal menu and the portion size was much better. I would try again but not a speciality night. I will also go in warmer weather. Service was slow, we waited nearly an hour for a bowl of noodles!
