Friendly, welcoming staff. Lovely food and wide selection for choice. Have been many times before and food always good.
The Denbigh – BexhillCosy atmosphere and welcoming, but having just 2 cources and 2 drinks we felt that £82 was very overpriced,my burger and chips was nice but was served on a very small plate and was quite a small burger which didn't justify the price tag. Apologies for the winge but prices of small portioned food can not be justified in my opinion, especially if it's just nice and not that memorable.
The Globe Inn Marsh Rye – RyeRunning out of superlatives. Consistently good, very special!
Into The Blue – Shoreham-by-SeaAmazing food all freshly cooked and delicious Would recommend to anyone esp seafood lovers
Into The Blue – Shoreham-by-SeaJust a lovely cafe. Really fresh high quality food. Great atmosphere and friendly staff. Great for children too.
Hartfields – UckfieldFab as always! We came here for a birthday brunch and as usual, it didn’t disappoint. The food is delicious and staff are lovely. My fave spot in Uckfield.
Hartfields – UckfieldFirst time visiting but won't be the last, the food and service were excellent, from the starters of squid, mussels and Oysters through to crispy Asian chicken, whole sea bass and Monk Fish, with ribs, noodles you could't fault it, is you haven't been before I recommend you give it a go
Into The Blue – Shoreham-by-SeaCosy atmosphere, attentive and friendly staff. Tasty local food.
The Globe Inn Marsh Rye – RyeMoved to Shoreham beach recently and had two lovely meals here so far! My only criticism on yesterday’s set menu meal is that main of ( Cajun Chicken) didn’t come with anything so just got a fairly small plate of fried chicken bits without anything with it! You have to order sides separately so boosts the cost of the set menu . Friendly service and nice atmosphere as usual though.
Into The Blue – Shoreham-by-SeaLovely little restaurant, delicious starters, would definitely recommend. We had the salt and pepper squid and the satay prawns to start, they were both amazing! I usually don't like squid but this was tasty and tender, not chewy at all, could've eaten lots more. Our mains weren't as good, my wife found the lobster tail a bit chewy and didn't understand why it had diced carrot with it, I had the sea bass which I didn't realise was going to be lightly battered so it was my fault I was a little disappointed, although my wife said the light batter was good. We also had the miso cabbage and the curried cauliflower both of which were delicious, overall a very nice meal and we will definitely go again.
Into The Blue – Shoreham-by-SeaMy wife and I have been here a few times and I have to say the last two lunches we've had have been outstanding. Yesterday we got the special seafood paella and the monk fish cha sui and we shared them both. Food was excellent with everything cooked to perfection. We had a lovely lady waiting on us and couldn't have asked for anything more, great service with a smile.
Into The Blue – Shoreham-by-SeaLovely food and service, love the vibe of the pub.
The Globe Inn Marsh Rye – RyeA luvly meal, amazing service, so friendly and helpful, food was delicious...
The Denbigh – BexhillCare was taken to seat 5 of us comfortably. . Orders were taken promptly and service was attentive and friendly throughout the meal. We thoroughly enjoyed our Sunday Roasts and one meal from the Kids' Menu.
The Denbigh – BexhillHad lunch with Auntie. They had no knowledge of my online booking and it seemed I wasn’t the only one. Sticky table. Filthy ancient carpet. Dogs in dining area. However, food was excellent. Hot plentiful and tasty. Steak and kidney pudding really good. Service friendly. Inexpensive ,left satisfied.
The Denbigh – BexhillBooked in for Sunday roast after it had been recommended by a friend and we weren't disappointed. Wonderful food . Great experience. We will definitely book again , soon .
Macklins at The Riverside – PulboroughWith American visitors we had to suggest burgers at the Globe, and they all agreed they were very good. A decent hunk of beef with delicious chips. The ambience of the Globe is something else; interesting, quirky, different. It’s definitely a comfortable place to be, and the music is just right. Staff are all polite and professional, and made a huge fuss of our dog. Marta in particular is a fantastic host, and makes everyone welcome. Service was slightly let down by a fault with the ordering system resulting in the chefs not seeing the order and a long delay. A shame, as otherwise it’s great. We’ll forgive them. In all honesty it’s a little on the expensive side at times. A pint of Guinness is rather overpriced and I’m not sure about £6 for a handful of chips, delicious as they are. I’d love to see some Shepherds Pie or Sausage and Mash on the menu. For all that the Globe is a smashing pub with a unique atmosphere, a very comfortable place to be. Let’s hope we’re there for many years to come !
The Globe Inn Marsh Rye – RyeWent Friday night on recommendation. Booked early and stayed late. Great fish menu, plenty of choices, but not an over sized menu which made a pleasant change. We were a table of four and everyone chose a different dishes. All the portion were a good sizes and no one went home hungry. Service was fantastic. Fast, attentive and helpful. Pleased we went and we will be back soon.
