My sister and I had a lovely lunch, on her birthday. She enjoyed the roast beef and my hake was delicious. The service was excellent. We've recommended the Globe to our friends, many of whom pop down to Rye.

The Globe Inn Marsh Rye – RyeA quirky and interesting place. Made a nice change. Delicious meat for the roast, along with the veg. However, first Yorkshire was cold. I don't know if they cook with wood or what caused it, but the Yorkshires and some of the potatoes appeared incinerated, which was very odd.
The Globe Inn Marsh Rye – RyeDear team I appreciate serving the public can be difficult and I hope you take my review as a learning curve. The girls tried to look after us but with two 90+ adults it proved difficult. They did try to find us space for more leg room but the pews were too narrow and uncomfortable for elderly people. We were also put in a drafty position that they couldn’t cope with. They did find us a place upstairs but the door there was also open and the table was cramped for five people. For the meal we mainly had roasts and although the plates were hot the food wasn’t warm enough. The beef slices were wafer thin and my parents said the lamb was full of gristle and fat which they couldn’t chew. My mother said it hadn’t been cooked long enough! The young waitresses had no idea what a cruet was and there seems to be some basic service requirements missing. We used to fully enjoy coming to you but this fell short of a good experience.
The Denbigh – BexhillWe had a lovely meal with the most amazing flavours. The food here is so tasty and well presented. Thank you to all who make such a special place!
Into The Blue – Shoreham-by-SeaWe had a very good lunch, great service and a lovely setting .Small plate portions were small and a little over priced but will come again. Many thanks
The Globe Inn Marsh Rye – RyeFood, service, atmosphere AMAZING Seafood soo fresh and great quality!
Into The Blue – Shoreham-by-SeaEasy booking table at lunchtime online on Friday of Bank holiday. Our table was outside and the sun was shining which always helps. Interesting array of aperitifs and cocktail style drinks as well as normal choices. Staff attentive and no long waits. Two of us had bream - delicious and one steak cooked well, bucket of ribs for two was delicious and fun. Service overall was good and adding one unexpected diner was no trouble. Great as usual.
The Globe Inn Marsh Rye – RyeLovely evening meal last Friday. Excellent Humus followed by Steak and Lobster and excellent Pinot. Excellent as always.
Into The Blue – Shoreham-by-SeaThank you for accommodating 7 hungry parkrunners on a busy Saturday. Great food, personable service. Very enjoyable.
Hartfields – UckfieldAn absolutely wonderful place to go and enjoy a meal. Great food and very friendly staff.
The Globe Inn Marsh Rye – RyeGreat food , and fairly priced , had the half lobster and was absolutely delicious. Service was good too.Thoroughly recommend.
Into The Blue – Shoreham-by-SeaFabulous as ever. Enjoyed the most delicious lunch yesterday. Faultless. Lovely people and great value. Highly recommend.
Into The Blue – Shoreham-by-SeaSecond time this year at this great restaurant. I very rarely have paella in the UK as it can be so disappointing but I thought I would give it a try. It was excellent! The Eton Mess for dessert was delicious. One of the best restaurants on the south coast. Highly recommended.
Into The Blue – Shoreham-by-SeaWe had a fantastic meal here for my partner's 50th birthday. The food and the atmosphere was perfect, with a fantastic range of drinks and a really tempting menu. The staff were so welcoming and friendly, and without asking made a very special fuss of my partner. I really could not recommend this place enough. We shall definitely be returning!
The Globe Inn Marsh Rye – RyeA delicious seafood menu in a lovely setting by the beach ... a great place for lunch.
Into The Blue – Shoreham-by-SeaHaving just spent 4 weeks in hospital and care home I was absolutely ready to meet family at this marvellous restaurant. The Hake was beautiful, and my Dover sole meuniere cooked to perfection. The service is delightful and it was a very welcome return for me to what must be one of the best restaurants in the whole Brighton area.
Into The Blue – Shoreham-by-SeaThe meal was delicious and great value. 2 of us had the curry of the day, chicken and coconut, while one had the steak and kidney pudding. The meals were freshly prepared, well presented, and tasty. It wasn’t our first visit and won’t be our last. The staff member, who was managing the bar and food orders alone, worked incredibly hard and maintained friendly and devoted attention throughout. She deserves considerable reward for keeping the place running. The chef, who must have been operating at high pace and pressure produced commendable dishes. Well done. We look forward to joining you again soon.
The Denbigh – BexhillThis is a great pub and place to eat, we have been here a number of times. This time the food could have been better but it sort of doesn’t matter because the place is just nice to be at. Some really interesting cocktails and great choice of beers (although I just had water this time!)
