I had the vegan lentil strudel, and my partner had the beef, and then we shared a sticky toffee pudding (the portions were generous and neither of us had room for a whole dessert each!). It was all cooked to absolute perfection, and all the food was so fresh and flavoursome, served by the chef with a well-earned pride. Definitely coming for this again; can't recommend it highly enough. We also had the awesome experience of having a front row seat, in their plush, upholstered chairs, to enjoy the fabulous treat of 'Barnaby's Lounge 16-piece Jazz Band' playing outside the venue while we leisurely ate and drank - what a feast for all the senses!!

The Good Grub – EastbourneGreat pub, with a quirky feel and it was certainly busy! I ate here two years ago and had a fantastic meal, I can still remember how good the Romney Marsh lamb tasted. We booked for Sunday lunch and sadly the food did not match my memories. It was fine, but a very standard mass produced lunch. The meat was very well cooked and tough (we both had lamb) and the roast potatoes tasted as though they had been cooked and reheated. If we came for Sunday lunch again we wouldn't choose the roast.

We enjoyed a crab cake sitting on beautiful piece of watermelon with crispy potatoes on top sitting on a creamy yougert sauce. David in the kitchen only serves the best fresh seafood. It is indeed a treat to enjoy his creations. Not to mention the Dove Sole that was Divine. I almost hate to expose the fabulous cuisine, as I may not be able to get a booking there next trip to Shoreham.
