Pissarro’s – HastingsWe dined on Saturday 15th June - booking for three people 2 of whom are vegetarian. We ordered the grilled aubergine, the hash of asparagus, and the heritage tomato salad with burrata and avocado, and a variety of sides. The portion size was reasonable and the dishes well cooked. We found the food to be interesting and the menu well thought through and carefully selected. The service was outstanding, very friendly and accommodating. (The only downside was the heritage tomato salad which was served fridge cold - tomatoes should never be stored in the fridge, they loose all flavour and they may as well have been any type of tomato- incidentally, as an Italian, burrata should also be served just coming to room temp and not direct from the fridge. Small points that could easily be corrected. ) On the whole a lovely place and a lovely evening.
The Globe Inn Marsh Rye – RyeThis is now my favourite place to eat! Like the look of it - very interesting quirky and fun. Easy to park on the road Good food choices Really tasty food Young friendly helpful staff Go for it!
The Globe Inn Marsh Rye – RyeThis is my favourite restaurant. We always have the shared plates and the combination of flavours are always interesting and very tasty. The food is excellent and the staff are always friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. The menu frequently changes and the combination of flavours are amazing. This is not your average fish restaurant!
Into The Blue – Shoreham-by-SeaLoved this restaurant. Went with two friends last Friday and the seafood was superb, the service super friendly and informative. My daughter lives in Shoreham, this will become a regular!
Into The Blue – Shoreham-by-SeaNicely laid out interiors and great character. Staff could have been a bit more attentive but otherwise, they were friendly and approachable. Food was excellent and did not have to wait too long. Would certainly return in future.

Pissarro’s – HastingsWent for a Sunday lunch , lovely choice of roasts to choose from as well as the normal menu . Food freshly cooked , tasted delicious and nicely presented. Friendly atmosphere, very relaxed , a lovely way to spend a Sunday afternoon.
Ancient Grains – EastbourneOn holiday decided to book a Sunday lunch. Wonderful quirky pub. Great atmosphere dog friendly and gluten-free to boot. Great food. Well worth a visit
The Globe Inn Marsh Rye – RyeSunday lunchtime. Very busy but only 3 young staff members. Booked for 12.30 and main course served promptly. Ordered dessert but, because of lack of staff and number of customers, we were first of all “forgotten” by the server and the dessert menu was brought 15 minutes later. Then we waited another 20 minutes for dessert, which only arrived when one of the party managed to catch a server’s attention. Such a pity. First and probably last visit. More staff needed for busy periods.
The Denbigh – BexhillThe catch of the day was either over-cooked or was caught some time before my friends ate it. Also we should have been warned when making the booking that there was loud live music as if i'd known I would have booked elsewhere.
The Globe Inn Marsh Rye – RyeWe have eaten at The Denbigh on many occasions and rarely been disappointed. On our most recent visit they were running a special Lebanese menu which was an absolute delight. Highly recommended.
The Denbigh – BexhillWe discovered Into The Blue shortly after we moved to Shoreham in June 2021. We have been going regularly ever since. The people are lovely and the food and wine excellent. A very good restaurant indeed.
