Visited with my mother and daughter as a birthday celebration. The booking of a table was easy. I have been before and returned as we have previously found the food of good quality. Sadly not this time , my mother and daughter had Sunday lunch with lamb, whilst the portion was plentiful they found the meat more mutton than lamb. I had the beef and ale pie , the meat was dry, overcooked and reheated as was the pastry .

Lovely local pub with a very nice bistro restaurant attached. The food is excellent and the Sunday roast is one of the best you can find. You definitely need to book for weekends as it isn’t a huge place, but well worth it. The staff are friendly and very helpful with any menu changes etc. Also some really good vegetarian/vegan options. Definitely recommend trying it out if you haven’t already been.

Really enjoyed the food. Somewhat disappointed that the mini dessert with a hot drink was not on the menu when we dined on the 28th June, this is a real favourite after a good main course.

Incredible afternoon tea with a brilliant selection of sandwiches. Service was fantastic and went above and beyond. The setting was quiet and aesthetically pleasing. One of the best afternoon teas we have ever had and have recommended to our friends and family. Will be back!

A friend and I decided to try the afternoon tea offered at The Mere Court Hotel. We I'll definitely be going again. The staff are so friendly and welcoming. Making sure you are happy and letting us choose our own table etc. We didn't have to wait long to be served and when the tea arrived, it looked and tasted delicious. The scones in particular were clearly home made, fresh, warm and delicious! As for the room, setting and gardens; totally delightful. Well kept and looked after with separate areas, outdoor seating and big fountains. We really enjoyed it. Thank you.

Booked for afternoon tea for my Mum's birthday and it was gorgeous. The venue was lovely and relaxing and the afternoon tea was delicious, just the right amount too. Staff were friendly and helpful and it was a lovely afternoon.
