Excellent as always, food is fantastic, staff are very welcoming and friendly, and athe restaurant has a fantastic atmosphere. Our favourite restaurant, will be back soon.

Lovely atmosphere and great food - the staff were very busy and a request for vinegar & tartar sauce never materialised but the apologies were very genuine. We felt really looked after and it was excellent value for money

Lovely venue, staff were friendly and professional. Great menu to choose from for a mixed family group. Great food and such a a peaceful atmosphere, no loud background music and it was a busy Sunday evening. We will definitely return.

I visited with friends on Saturday evening and was blown away by the food which was absolutely delicious my friend, also a chef, said the Black Pudding Stack was the best starter she’d ever eaten! High praise indeed. I had the festive menu with roast turkey and trimmings and it was amazing. Great value and a lovely atmosphere. It’s not a big restaurant so booking is advisable but so worth a visit. You won’t regret it

Panama Hattys at Spurstow is fabulous, the food is great (not the usual run of the mill), the staff are friendly and efficient, and Andy and Phil are awesome - welcoming, nothing is too much trouble

Fabulous meal, excellent service. Would recommend. The only thing I will say, if you don’t know where it is you could miss it, needs more presence on the street.

Really impressed with the delicious food. Staff were friendly with quick service. A few large parties in having lots of fun , which did make it noisy to chat over the meal.

Had a lovely Xmas lunch yesterday. Super setting overlooking the Mere, in the warmth of the dining area. Good portions, and presented well. Only let down was the 2-course Xmas lunch price of £22.95 did not appear on the receipt. Each course was itemised separately and charged accordingly. Perhaps something to be identified at the till. Apart from that, lovely relaxed lunch. Shall be back in the summer, with the dig, so we can sit in the garden.

Absolutely wonderful Christmas lunch for 12 ladies. From booking, ordering, welcome arrival, food, service. Everything was just great. A lovely country pub serving restaurant quality food. We were made to feel very welcome and comfortable throughout. We couldn't have asked for more. The staff are so efficient, kind and professional. A real pleasure. Thanks From all of us at Creative Roots Workshops art group. We will be back.

Had another great afternoon tea at Mere Court with friends for a Christmas treat. We have been many times and always have great service in very pleasant surroundings. Purchased on Groupon so great value highly recommend. What very decadent way to spend an afternoon and hopefully we will return soon.

Starters and dessert were very tasty but beef daube was very mediocre and not worth the money at all.

Came for my birthday meal was very quiet which was nice. But unfortunately the food was not great the patatas bravas were undercooked and the chicken was very chewy and hard. Lovely atmosphere and wine but would never eat here again. Im hoping they just had a bad night.
