Another excellent Sunday lunch at Bacchus. Service, food and ambience were all amazing. Very good value for money and we just love the Melba toast.

I am a roast dinner lover and can safely say I’ve found my favourite local Sunday roast by far! The staff were all really lovely and patient, and the atmosphere/decor was stunning. I was just gutted there was a shortage of cauliflower cheese, so will definitely need to return for that again soon!

From the welcome to departure it was wonderful. The sunday roast is always on point,flavoursome and traditional. The staff were friendly without being over friendly. And as for the dessert excellent and typically British.

This was our first time at the Alvanley Arms and we had a delicious Sunday lunch. All the staff were very welcoming and friendly. It was nice that in addition to the children’s menu, you can also order smaller versions off the main menu. We will most definitely be back and recommending to friends and family.

Family of 8 had a superb Sunday Roasts at The Alvanley Arms.. There was plenty of choices & quantity of food.

On every visit to this beautiful restaurant it still remains an utter delight . From the moment that you arrive and shown to your table to all of the attentive and polite staff. The Melba toast and gorgeous butter is always a scrumptious whilst awaiting for the starters to arrive!! All of the dishes we ordered were exquisite!and cooked to perfection!! Everything is done with great style and class. Bacchus is a rare bird in a sea of formulaic restaurants and long may it continue . We will look forward to our next visit!!

Have been several times now for Sunday lunch and I have to say one of the best Sunday lunches around. Superbly cooked food and plenty of it too.well worth a visit .

Four of us had a delightful Sunday lunch at the Alvanley arms. Delicious roasts followed by delicious deserts. Highly recommended.

Staff and food was great - used the 50% offer on food and drink otherwise food is expensive. Ordered the chicken dog dinner but had to send it back as there was only about 10 small cubes of meat and for the cost wasn’t what we expected. Good choice of beers

Enjoyed a very nice meal with a friend. The food was delicious and a good price. The atmosphere was great as were all the staff. We are looking forward to making plenty more trips. Keep up the good work.

Service good. Food fine but did not appear to be home cooked food...more like type of food id expect at a chain. Was really disappointed by menu. Unimaginative mrnu, really poor choice for vegetarians. I have put 5 for vslue due to 50% off but dont thibk worth full price

Three of us enjoyed lovely food for lunch on Saturday. It was delicious , hot and the service was very good even though they were very busy. We hadn't been before , but were meeting with a friend that lives near Chester and we live in Macclesfield so it was a brilliant decision to meet " half way " I am sure we will go there again as it was really a very good choice .
