The Coach and Horses – CongletonPaid a visit to Panama Hattys in Spurstow to check it out, we used to frequent the restaurant in Manchester city centre and we always enjoyed it and were sad when it closed down some time ago. We recently moved to Cheshire and are glad to report it met all our expectations, we booked online and were welcomed on arrival, the venue is extremely well appointed with a nice plush lounge area where we had a drink before being led to our table to dine, the menu is varied and the food we chose was delicious and well presented, the staff very friendly and courteous. The atmosphere was very pleasant and for the location which is fairly remote, the restaurant was quite busy, this did not affect the service, all in all we had a great time and would definitely revisit.
Panama Hattys Restaurant & Bar – TarporleyFood was great , think a little under staffed, people arrived after us were asked for their drinks order right away , we at to ask 10 minutes later to take our drink order, think things a little tweek?
The Plough at Whitegate – NorthwichWe had a lovely 2 course meal for 2 on Friday 16th January. The only problem was that we had to wait 45 minutes for the first course to arrive.
The Coach and Horses – CongletonReally quite disappointed. We’ve been for afternoon tea here a number of times and really enjoyed it, but this time it was very different. We were seated alone in the bar area, usually we are in the restaurant. We felt like we were in the way with staff doing jobs such as cleaning around us. The afternoon tea was brought out. We wanted coffee and had to call after the waitress to request this as she was walking away from us. There was no option given for latte etc that we’ve had previously. The sandwiches and scones were nice, but the cakes were so small, nothing like we have had previously. The waitress told us she was leaving, even though we hadn’t been served the champagne we had paid for. We asked for this and she shouted over the someone else to serve us. Overall disappointing compared to our previous visits. We won’t return.
Mere Court Restaurant – KnutsfordAbsolutely Devine! First time we have ever been and it was delicious. Friendly and attentive staff and a really warm and welcoming atmosphere. A hidden gem!
Cafe De Paris – NantwichVery disappointed I ordered a chicken kebab which was almost black when it came and very dry also friends had chicken stroganoff which was mainly a bowl of onions !!! Sadly it wasn’t a good experience
Alvanley Arms – TarporleyExcellent food, friendly, efficient staff. Will certainly go again.
Alvanley Arms – TarporleyExcellent food and drink as always. A little bit on the cold side inside the dining area, sat near a radiator that was barely warm
The Plough at Whitegate – NorthwichFabulous birthday lunch!! The food was gorgeous… well cooked and well presented. The White Lion has certainly improved their food since we last visited. No complaints. Everything was cooked perfectly and portions were excellent too. A great experience.
White Lion at Alvanley – FrodshamPanama Hattys is by far our favourite restaurant. It is a good half an hours drive across country, but so worth it. Andrew and the team are truly fantastic. We always get a great welcome. I can’t speak too highly of Andrew, if anyone is in the right job it is him. We absolutely love the food at PH. The decor is tremendous, we truly envy the style of the person that decorated this fabulous restaurant. The cleanliness and level of detail need to be seen to be believed. Prior to my retirement I was the head of a large national customer based organisation, I have to say that I would have been absolutely proud to have had the team at PH working with me. Thanks to the owners of PH, for giving us such a tremendous venue.
Panama Hattys Restaurant & Bar – TarporleyReally nice meal... was actually cold but our server was very happy to warm it up for me... like the new changes..
White Lion at Alvanley – FrodshamWe were a party of 4 friends meeting for a quiet birthday celebration. The service from all of the staff was outstanding. The meals were top quality and we all thoroughly enjoyed our food.
The Plough at Whitegate – NorthwichVisited for lunch for the first time. Excellent value especially for £10 with January offer on 2 courses. Lovely food and great service
The Coach and Horses – Congletonlovely lunch beautifully served. There is a major problem with car parking in Prestbury that could deter customers. Please use your Influence with the local council to adequate user-frriendly parking meters are installed and regularly maintained. This is a big problem.
Bacchus Restaurant – MacclesfieldFood was prepared without delay, nicely presented & very tasty. Staff were attentive & polite. Our only issue was the shortage of gins available but this was explained by the staff as being due to deliveries after the new year.
The Plough at Whitegate – NorthwichI have always enjoyed my visits to The Cafe de Paris so yesterday was an exception as the service was very poor. We ordered immediately and drinks came .. but no food.. after 45 minutes we asked what was happening.. especially as others were being served… our meal, which was delicious, took an hour to be served. We did receive a verbal apology and we were given a 25% reduction on our bill without asking. This was obviously a conciliatory gesture We didn’t bother to stay for a cake or final coffee after the delay. Also we sat in the larger room and it was exceedingly noisy! The smaller room is definitely cosier and more intimate.
Cafe De Paris – NantwichWe have just been for our second visit in two weeks! The food is really excellent and the staff are so efficient and friendly. A lovely place.
