Excellent venue for a relaxing afternoon tea. The dining room was made accessible for a wheelchair user via ramps from the car park and then down into the restaurant. The afternoon teas were all lovely with some being gluten free as requested. The atmosphere was relaxed and friendly and the staff were most helpful. The dining room overlooked an area with lovely water features.

Another lovely afternoon tea at Mere Court yesterday. Very friendly & helpful staff and a very nice upgraded restaurant overlooking the lake . As much tea/ coffee as you wanted. Great value for money.

Have eaten at the Alvanley a few times over the years. We went on Sunday to give my mother in law a treat. She enjoyed her food immensely. , especially as they do a small Sunday roast. Our food was delicious, well priced. The staff were extremely nice and friendly. Service was superb, could not fault anything.

On arrival the atmosphere felt flat, dirty glasses and bland cold overpriced food, the whole experience lacked care, attention to detail and attentiveness the staff hardly smiled, I think they've given up, especially the manager (well I presume) she was the manager? Shame really as the location is amazing next to the lake. A little love, using fresh ingredients and attention to detail and this establishment could be a real gem.
