White Lion at Alvanley – FrodshamIt is such a shame Helter Skelter are stopping serving a full menu of food in October 2024. This has been our go to place for the family for several years now.
Helter Skelter – FrodshamWe have been many times and the food is always excellent - this time was the same except the beef was slightly too rare for us and the gravy way too salty I notice other people on different tables had left it. We were overall very pleased with our meals
Panama Hattys Restaurant & Bar – TarporleyNever fails to be fantastic, staff amazing. Food beautiful, well presented and delicious. The barmaid was fabulous, efficient, helpful and accommodating. The pub was a little chilly on this vist, but previous visits have been cosy ad warm.
Helter Skelter – FrodshamA wonderful meal, the service was impeccable, with attentive and friendly staff who made sure our dining experience was exceptional. We highly recommend i Bacchus for anyone looking for a memorable dining experience

Panama Hattys Restaurant & Bar – TarporleyWhat can I say, excellent food with a good variety of choice. Prompt ,efficient and friendly service
Helter Skelter – FrodshamSecond visit in recent weeks - very impressed again with the food. Nobody had any complaints, and Alvanley Arms remains one of those places you book knowing that you won’t be disappointed. My husband says it’s one of the best mixed grills he’s ever had. Fish and chips was lovely as always. Kids loved theirs too. The apricot and lavender tart is one of the best desserts I’ve eaten anywhere. Seems to be a hidden gem as it’s never been overly busy when we’ve been in. Fantastic food, lovely venue, highly recommend.
Alvanley Arms – TarporleyHad a lovely meal on Saturday night. The atmosphere was very nice too.
Pacino’s – ChesterI really enjoyed the atmosphere of the place and the food was excellent. Great service, very clean and tastefully decorated.
Panama Hattys Restaurant & Bar – TarporleyExcellent choice , good sized portions one guest was Gluten Free lovely choice of different items don't normally see. Service and food quick and hot.
The Plough at Whitegate – NorthwichNice surroundings, loud music, ribs for starter were very dry/tough, Haloumi nice, Sea Bass main was nice but poor veg/potato to go with, Stuffed Aubergine was poor ... I go out to experience better than I cook at home but not the case this time. Maybe an off night
Elmas Restaurant – LymmOur regular group of lunchtime diners, this time 6 chaps, the majority of whom have spent their lives either running restaurants and gastro pubs, or supplying the hospitality industry with wine and essentials, chose an old favourite venue at Bacchus. The welcome from Mike and his front of house team was, as always, both charming and warm. Pre-dinner drinks were hastily supplied and wines chosen. This visit, the very reasonably priced Lunch Menu had such excellent choices, everyone chose from this. Of particular note were starters of grilled mackerel on quinoa, and main course of hake, which was generous in size and perfectly cooked. Wines were served at perfect temperatures, and very reasonably priced. One of the best overall lunches, for service, friendliness, food, wine and value of the restaurants visited by our regular diners this year to date. Many thanks from Chaps Who Lunch.
