We have been eating at Panama Hattys for over 25 years it is our go to place for us as a couple and if we have a celebration for the family.Always lovely staff and food.I think it says a lot that the same 2 managers are still there after 28 years.

Bacchus Restaurant – MacclesfieldHaving just moved to the area , we had driven past this pub and decided to book for a sunday lunch . We both had the mixed meats , which came with roasties, mash , a selection of vegetables , a massive yorkshire pudding and gravy. Really lovely tender meat selection and a roast that tasted like homemade. The staff were all really friendly and welcoming . We will most definitely be going back soon.

Alvanley Arms – TarporleySpent a wonderful couple of hours here recently for a birthday afternoon tea treat! The food was exceptional! Various freshly prepared sandwiches, cakes and scones! Great selection and all delicious with probably the nicest scones I have ever had at an afternoon tea venue! Love the ambience, characterful building with original features! Actually feels like you are transported back to Austen times enjoying a refined tea with delicious sweet and savoury victuals! The grounds are beautiful and tranquil, the water features add to the calm and serenity, I love this little tucked away gem of a hotel! The waiter was so attentive within being obtrusive! We felt very special for a short peaceful time away from daily life! I totally recommend this experience and it is worth the drive out to have a delightful time away from it all to share with a partner or friends and family.

The Carriers Inn – FrodshamThis is the second time I have eaten at this gastropub. Both times we have had excellent food and service. The menu caters properly for vegan and gluten free diners which has made this an ideal place to eat for our mixed group of diners. On our recent visit the group had a brisket roast and vegan (and gf) sweet potato tart. For puds we had a mixture of gf sticky toffee pudding, a vegan lavender tart and a rhubarb and custard tart. All were excellent.
