A hidden lovely Italian restaurant in Chester. Food and atmosphere was great. Reasonably priced. Would visit again if in Chester

One of our favourite pubs (if not THE favourite). Always lovely & friendly - welcoming even on a cold miserable winter day. You know that you'll never be disappointed whatever you choose from the menu. Food is always superb, well cooked & piping hot. Beef & Ale pie is a favourite - Beef is melt in the mouth, pastry soft & beautifully cooked. Best to book especially if you want an evening but they always try to fit us in if they can. The ladies looking after you are always smiling even though they're busy.

Delicious food and great service (not too fast, not too slow!). A lot of choices on the menu and the food was piping hot, as were the plates (not everywhere warms the plates). Would definitely recommend.

Had a lovely afternoon tea. The hotel was lovely, the staff very attentive. The sandwiches were fresh and a nice variety, as were the cakes and home name scones. All round, a very nice afternoon tea in pleasant surroundings. Would definitely recommend.

Once again, delicious food and so reasonably priced, loved it all. The wine delicious and the service brilliant. I took friends who hadn't been previously and they thought the food was lovely. Will return again soon.

This was my first visit and it most certainly will not be my last! The ambience is delightful (even though there was a very loud table in at the same time!), the variety and quality of the food was excellent and the crowning glory was the fabulous staff - all very friendly and efficient and made us all feel very welcome. Well done guys - you know how this hospitality ‘game’ works!

Our first visit after being recommended to us, and it didn’t disappoint! Brilliant varied menu, food was excellent & service great. Very good value for money also. Bit out of town but definitely worth seeking out - we will be back soon!

Recently returned to Bacchus for a wedding anniversary meal with my wife. Fabulous evening, the meal was first class, the food and its presentation is second to none in the area. As always, impeccable service, from Mike and the team, thanks particularly to Stuart and Steve also - they made it feel special. Highly recommended, we are definitely returning for a lunch soon!! It is such a shame Helter Skelter are stopping serving a full menu of food in October 2024. This has been our go to place for the family for several years now.
