Fabulous food and a great atmosphere.

We really enjoyed our meal here last night. The food was excellent and the staff were lovely. Definitely go back again.

Absolutely loved the afternoon tea here. We had an amazing view out into the gardens from our window table, the sandwiches were really good and there was a nice selection. The cakes were to die for especially the homemade scones. Loved all the details that just made the afternoon tea a little more special. The staff couldn't do enough for us. We will definitely be coming back for afternoon tea and after looking around the grounds we love the idea of a wedding venue too

I have been to the Mere Court Hotel several times over the past few years for overnight stays and for afternoon tea. I have always enjoyed the hotel, the atmosphere and the beautiful gardens. Because I have enjoyed the hotel on so many occasions I decided to book afternoon tea for my family to celebrate the 70th birthday of my mum. I cannot praise the hotel enough. The room was absolutely stunning. The hotel had placed us in a separate room and had arranged the table beautifully. We had a beautiful view out to the water fountain and gardens. The afternoon tea was lovely. Four members of my family are vegan and the hotel catered for them providing gorgeous food and vegan champagne. We enjoyed it so much that we ended up staying for about five hours! The young lady that brought the food out was fantastic. She checked on us regularly and made sure that everything went smoothly. All of the family commented on how beautiful the hotel and grounds were. I am already looking forward to my next visit.

Very pleasant atmosphere; staff were friendly, helpful and the service was perfect. Would definitely recommend this pub/restaurant.

Very accommodating as we had to rearrange a table of 10 because of illness. This restaurant is small and inviting with a good range in its menu, which meant it suited everyone. The staff were lovely-friendly and attentive. I’m sure we will be back.

Food is excellent. Fresh and tasty. The atmosphere is lovely and the staff are so friendly and helpful. Definitely highly recommended. Balloon bread is just delicious.

We enjoyed a delicious Sunday roast dinner at the Alvanley Arms and will certainly be back again.

We enjoyed a fabulous meal last night. Great value for a 2 course meal. Staff professional and attentive. Lovely atmosphere. One of our group was gluten intolerant and this was accommodated without any fuss.

Came for a lunch to celebrate my daughter’s birthday. The food was really delicious, especially the beef pie. Some gins we were interested in had run out due to the gin festival but the staff were really helpful finding alternatives. Staff very friendly and accommodating. Top marks!!
