Visited the White Lion again last Tuesday after a long time and it's just as pleasant as it always has been with very friendly staff and good food.

Afternoon tea via Groupon. Not exactly a warm welcome from the obviously bored receptionist. Food very ordinary at best. Barely passable sandwiches and cakes. Nice scone but 'squirty cream' rather than clotted cream. Glad we didnt pay full price. Not recommended. Try the Midland in Manchester to see how it should be done.

Can't say about value for money as it was a mother's day present from my son. Brought my daughter with me. It was amazing. The young man who served us was so polite and accommodating. The food was delicious and the ambiance was idyllic. Thank you so much

Great service, huge menu to choose from and dog friendly. We arrived early for our booking but were seated straight away on a slate floored area (perfect for the dogs on a hot day!). The pie and Sunday roast were delicious and the pudding menu was impressive!

We have now eaten many times at Bacchus and have never been disappointed - the customer service is fantastic, food is always delicious and such high quality and the restaurant is always busy but the layout still allows you to feel that you can have a private intimate meal. Very highly recommended.

The choice of food was limited, the Roast Chicken and Duck Breast were both unavailable, as was the Chocolate Brownie. The Cheese and Potato pie was overcooked with the pastry being too hard. It's a shame because meals we have had previously have been excellent.

The food was excellent but ……. 4 of us went and we were the only people in the restaurant so not much atmosphere although the room has been nicely set out and decorated. We all ordered 2 dishes which all came out at different times. One of our party got one dish and shortly after her second dish before anyone else got anything. The other two people got dishes while I got nothing for ages. My second dish came out last and was really hot so I was eating on my own at the end. Not ideal! When taking the order it surely would be possible to write who has what and to at least bring out one dish for each person first? and then the other dishes. Not the chef’s fault as he has no idea who ordered which dish! Can’t fault his cooking though as the food was delicious.

Definitely my kind of food - loved it! The service and setting were both perfect! We will be back soon!

Service variable, no dessert or coffee offered after lunch. Had to go and ask. Niçoise salad minus tuna, olives and anchovies!! Not a Nicosia salad at all.

Lovely evening at Elma’s. A lovely restaurant in the centre of Lymm Village with a great atmosphere. The food was delicious and the service was excellent! Would highly recommend! Will definitely return. Thank you!

Great find , great value for money and very tasty, the caramelised pear and goat cheese ravioli was the best I've ever had, recommend a visit , really well decorated and friendly staff

One of the pizzas was forgotten about so took 20 minutes to come after our other food had arrived. When it came it was very soggy and wasn’t great
