Great meal, prompt service from lovely staff! Good range of dishes on menu. Courage Directors Bitter and Pheasant Ale are excellent beers! Booking always essential!

6 of us went for a meal before ladies day at the races. Cannot fault a single thing. Food amazing, service exceptional. Great value for money and will definitely be going again.

food was great especially as small portion was available as elderly clients we don't like wasting food with large portions. good value for money for food. we found wine very expensive approx £9 for a medium glass of ordinary wine , but we might just be out of touch. would go back again but stick to beer.

Fantastic place to walk to just outside the town with welcoming staff and a good choice of beers, the food menu is great with pub food favourites alongside some delicious specials..

Lovely evening., booked online when we arrived and luckily a table was available. The food was superb and the staff very friendly. The restaurant was busy with a good atmosphere and dogs are welcome too

Evening meal here prior to going to the local Theatre by the Lake. Thoroughly enjoyable all round. Excellent service and my Mushroom / Brie / Cranberry and Walnut Wellington was absolutely delightful. Only the busy roadside parking lets the side down a bit. The staff are attentive but not in the least pushy. 10/10

We always go to the Pheasant. Lovely food and great service. We always enjoy the great atmosphere and helpful friendly staff. We will be back again. Well done to everyone who made our evening special. Delicious apple and gooseberry crumble. A great menu too and I really like the beef pie although last night I had the beef curry. Delicious.

Always book an evening, or two here when staying in the Lakes. Really first class food and atmosphere, would easily surpass some high end restaurants. The best kept secret in Grasmere.

Fantastic food, staff, atmosphere and value for money. Would definitely recommend coming here for a meal. Will be back before the end of our holiday for another meal to try something different because there are so many delicious things on the menu. We were a party of 5, and had 4 different mains and 5 different desserts. Everything homemade, beautifully presented and nothing was left on our plates/ bowls. Good size portions too.
