Hope and Anchor – Grange-over-SandsNot as good was previous visit. Chicken was over cooked and hard. Vegetables mushy and overcooked. One of our pasta dishes was also overcooked too soft. Probably wouldn’t visit again. Gone down hill.
La Mezzaluna – CarlisleWe are on holiday in flookburgh at haven lakeland. After looking around for a place to go for a meal we found this place. The food was great, very tasty and you actually got a decent portion, we then went back for Sunday lunch, which again, was lovely, fresh veg, homemade yorkies and roast potatoes ( no aunt Bessie's here) beautiful beef and pork. The staff are very friendly too. We already booked for next Sunday. I do recommend booking for Sundays.
Hope and Anchor – Grange-over-SandsSimply excellent
The Wheatsheaf at Beetham – MilnthorpeReally enjoyed our Sunday dinner for Father's Day. The staff were excellent, warm and attentive, and the food was delicious. Even with baby and dog in tow we were made to feel like no trouble and had a great time.
Queens Head Inn Tirril – PenrithLovely food, great service from friendly staff. Thanks for a great night.
Pig and Whistle – CartmelThe best pub food in Keswick by far, visited with three friends and the food and service were first class. The rainbow trout was superb.
Pheasant Inn – KeswickFab dinner service amazing friendly staff portion sizes very good. Menu choice excellent. Will definitely be back
Pheasant Inn – KeswickWe had a lovely welcome and although we arrived early we were seated straight away. The staff were really friendly and efficient. We both had lamb which was perfect and delicious, as was the Chianti ! We will definitely recommend and return when we are in the area again.
Lewis’s Bistro – GrasmereFab dinner service amazing friendly staff portion sizes very good. Menu choice excellent. Will definitely be back
Pheasant Inn – KeswickOur first visit to Keswick and pre-booked a table for 2 for the Saturday night. Lovely welcome when we arrived and shown to our table. The staff were really attentive and had a lovely relaxed chatty manner. The food was so tasty and very generous portions; we had the venison bourguigon and beef pie. We shared a cheesecake dessert. Will definitely return when we visit again!
Pheasant Inn – KeswickGreat central spot in Carlisle for a lovely meal. Visited on an overnight stop and couldn’t have asked for better. Good was delicious and the staff were brilliant. Thank you!
Sage and Vine – CarlisleThe food was great staff very friendly and chatty, can't fault food or service.
La Mezzaluna – CarlisleDinner here last night. Salmon so overcooked it was inedible. Ordered eton mess for dessert. No meringue! Just a bowl of mush. Couldn't eat. Price taken off total bill and waitress asked what was wrong with it as she made it. Would've thought this was the chefs job or she should at least have been instructed how to make it. Salmon easy to cook and eton mess couldn't be easier to make. Won't be back. So many better places for food in grasmere.
Lewis’s Bistro – GrasmereStaff were really lovely. Enjoyed being close to other tables as it allowed/encouraged chat. Nice to see lots of young families. Only tiny note but food could have been hotter. Thanks
Lewis’s Bistro – GrasmereWent for lunch with family. We had 6 small plates and a fish and chips. Food was excellent and we ate on the beer garden which was lovely. We'll definitely go back.
