Every time we visit Keswick we make sure we eat at the Pheasant Inn. The food has always been excellent. The Venison dish is outstanding. Looking forward to our next visit.

What a gem the Wheatsheaf in Beetham is, set in the prettiest village. The food is excellent, with a nice range of beers and wines. The staff are so friendly and the pub is cheerful and welcoming, with some spectacular Christmas decorations. Love the service bells on the tables!

Food is amazing the pub is beautifully decorated for Christmas and so cosy with the open fire. My favourite is the Lakeland pie. Great selection of beers. The service was excellent. Thanks Ian

Lovely meal before our trip to Carlisle Cathedral to see G4 christmas tour show. It was served by the team who were all professional. We all enjoyed the meal. X

We travelled 150 miles round trip for my birthday to dine here and stayed overnight in a hotel. My wife's meal was awful and it was sent back. Mine was poor . To say I am disappointed would be an understatement. If I could get on the categories below the grades would all be one.

Excellent meal as ever. We brought some friends with us who loved it too. This is the 5th time we’ve eaten here. I’d definitely recommend the Wheatsheaf.

Lovely food and atmosphere! There is always a warm welcome here and in December the open fire, hearty food and friendly service was the perfect escape from a stormy outside world. Well done everyone.

I could not fault our meal at Sage & Vine. I booked it for our annual Christmas meal with friends and we all came away saying how delicious all of the food was (we got a lot of dishes)! And also how amazing the service was, especially Cosmina, She was very informative but in such a relaxed and friendly way. We will definitely be back.

Visited recently to celebrate my husband's birthday. Staff were very welcoming and the food was delicious. Enjoyed all three courses with good wine . Would definitely visit again if in Penrith and would recommend it.
