My partner and I had travelled to Grasmere to celebrate his 40th birthday, and chose to eat on the Saturday night of our stay at Lewis’ Bistro. We really couldn’t have chosen a better place! The staff were excellent and attentive, even treating my partner and I to a glass of champagne, as part of his birthday celebrations. The starters and main meals were delicious; all substantial portions, so much so that we didn’t have any room for dessert. Would recommend to anyone visiting Grasmere and will certainly return in future. Thank you to all staff for your hospitality.

Only negative was the toilet facilities were disappointing and the toilet didn’t flush. Otherwise lovely spot for a bite to eat. Staff very efficient,

we had lunch yesterday & can honestly say it didn't disappoint. my husband had Rissotto Pollo & I had Salmon both absolutely delicious. whenever we're in Carlisle Mezzaluna is a must visit

Have been several times over the years for evening meals, always a bit quirky and disorganised but overlooked by great food, including local vegetables and an interesting menu. Always hoped they would get their act together with not running out of menu options etc. However this last time was a massive disappointment. The wine and beer were poor quality virtually undrinkable . The menu was very limited and 4 dishes had run out giving us very little choice. There were no locally grown vegetables with the meals only green beans which had to be ordered as a side. The food was uninspiring and the whole evening turned out to be an expensive mistake. It needs to be more organised, improved quality of wine available, improve the menu needs to be more original with more variety and to not run out of dishes.

Honestly one of the best meals we have had in the last few years. Food and service were amazing and definitely a 10/10 experience.

Relaxed atmosphere. Food was great. Menu is limited but what we ate was absolutely delicious Staff seemed overly busy so struggled to check in for our reservation. The girl serving at the bar was border line disinterested. Think you either need more staff or more training so greeting is warmer.

Wonderful pub with great service and lovely food. Price was reasonable for proper home cooked food. We wouldn’t hesitate to go back again.

Lovely food, wine and service, definitely value for money. I would highly recommend and I plan to return as it was a lovely meal.
