Lewis’s Bistro – GrasmereEvery time we go to Carlisle make a point of going to the restaurant we never get a bad meal and we have been a few times that staff are always nice and friendly and the service is great
La Mezzaluna – CarlisleExcellent food and service. We felt really welcomed and catered for.
Grants Of Castlegate – PenrithIts not our first visit here but as usual we were pleased with the service, friendliness of the staff and of course the excellent well presented tasty food . One of our favourite places to eat would highly recommend as visit here.
La Mezzaluna – CarlisleHaving been with family quite a while ago I recommended that friends & I would treat ourselves to a meal. The chicken they chose was overcooked however they were kindly offered an alternative meal that they chose to leave but were then offered a free dessert. The service was fine
Lewis’s Bistro – GrasmereFood was delicious, love the variety on the menu and locally sources produce. Service was good considering how busy it was. Love coming here when we visit Keswick and wi be back again next year!
Pheasant Inn – KeswickAmazing food as always. Service was excellent too. I’d recommend to anyone
The Wheatsheaf at Beetham – MilnthorpeAmazing food, service excellent
Lewis’s Bistro – GrasmereThis was our third visit to Lewis’s and, if anything, the food was even better than we’d remembered from our previous visits (the last of which was a couple of years back). I had the fillet steak, my wife had pork belly. We also had some bread and olives to share for a starter. Can’t fault any of it; lovely food, friendly staff, excellent service and a nice atmosphere. Decent value for money too, given the quality of the food. Will definitely be back next time we stay in beautiful Grasmere.
Lewis’s Bistro – GrasmereHad a fabulous meal here. The bar staff were lovely and there was water available for our dogs. The meal was top quality and the portion of lamb my Mum had was enormous. I had the duck which was great. Waiting staff friendly, especially Dan. Great night out!
Pheasant Inn – KeswickThe food was excellent, atmosphere was good, even the dog felt cared for.
The Wheatsheaf at Beetham – MilnthorpeVery busy which wasn’t a problem as handled well and professionally. Food was excellent and our whole party loved what they ordered. Drinks were also excellent.
Pheasant Inn – KeswickI have been visiting here for years and never disappointed. Lovely food, well presented and nicely cooked. Staff were so helpful and reasonable prices. We will definitely be back.
Lewis’s Bistro – GrasmereWe spotted that there were a lot of cars outside The Pheasant a few days earlier so took the chance to book. I can see why it is so popular. Excellent home cooked local food and exemplary service.
Pheasant Inn – KeswickI also wanted to add that the portions were huge and well worth the money we paid. The service was incredible.
Greyhound Inn Cotehill – CarlisleWe had a fabulous meal on Sunday. My husband had the Sunday lunch and I had a vegan lagine, and vegan apple crumble and custard, which was to die for! Keith was very attentive and him and Linda made sure that my mark was totally vegan . The place is cosy with an open fire and very clean. I would definitely be back to eat again
Greyhound Inn Cotehill – CarlisleLovely meal, pleasant and attentive staff. The fact that our table was wedged cheek by jowl between two others at the front of the room was a bit uncomfortable. We might as well all have been sitting at the same table! No chance for private conversation.
