Lewis’s Bistro – GrasmereWe went for a mid-afternoon meal - the food was delicious, the ambience was great, and the service was just right. An easy pick for somewhere nice to eat - especially if you love Italian food!
La Mezzaluna – CarlisleWe had evening meal for 6 in the restaurant. We enjoyed the generous portions and oodles of comfort - disappointed only that none of us could make it to the jam roly poly.
Glen Rothay Hotel and Badger Bar – RydalWas a shame the Venison Burbrigon was unavailable as that was something I had seen on the online menu and was looking forward to. However, what we eventually had was excellent as was the service. This is an excellent pub and is thoroughly recommended.
Pheasant Inn – KeswickThis pub is a hidden gem in a truly beautiful part of the Lake District. The food, beer, welcome and service are all perfect. A friendly and comfortable pub, welcoming locals and people further afield, like us, the Farmers Arms deserves to be well known. Go on a Thursday night for brilliant pizzas and amazing home made cakes!
Farmers Arms – UlverstonThe team were so accommodating when half our party of 18 were stuck in the A590 traffic. Food was great, thank you!
Kings Arms – UlverstonFast becoming our go too place in Town ! Amazing little place ! Atmosphere is so vibrant , great service and attentiveness and the menu and dishes particularly the seafood platter are superb !
Sage and Vine – CarlisleHad a lovely meal in a great setting. The only thing was that a biscuit provided with the sweet had a small hair stuck in it. The waitress couldn't have been more apologetic and the restaurant didn't charge for the sweet However we will certainly visit again.
The Wheatsheaf at Beetham – MilnthorpeWas in the restaurant recently. Had a lovely meal and with wonderful service. First class on both counts. However a group booking of around 10 guys made it very difficult to hear each other talk around our table. Volume got louder with time and took the shine off the visit. Understand why the restaurant would take group bookings but the noise was starting to become imposing. Would certainly return if I was ever in Carlisle again.
La Mezzaluna – CarlisleUnreliable .., website advertise food service from 12.00-20.00. Arrived at 19.38 and was told kitchen closed. Very poor won’t be back.
The Coach & Horses – CarlisleI dined here for 3 nights in a row and found it to be an absolute, culinary delight. I would highly recommend it to anyone. The food was outstanding in every aspect, the staff were extremely friendly and attentive and the atmosphere and ambience was so relaxing. I will definitely want to visit again when in Keswick.
Pheasant Inn – Keswick5 star!
Sage and Vine – CarlisleReally impressed - we had a lovely meal, food was excellent as was the service. The menu is fairly small but extremely well done. The restaurant is small and was fully booked but it still had a nice atmosphere and didn't feel too full or loud. I would love to go back - highly recommend.
Lewis’s Bistro – GrasmereWe've been going to the Pheasant Inn everytime we come to the Lake District - food, drinks and friendly staff are second to none - thoroughly recommended. :-)
Pheasant Inn – KeswickOutstanding food and service, a real gem
Grants Of Castlegate – PenrithNot or first fantastic meal here and it won't be out last. Superb food, great service, great atmosphere and all on all just a lovely evening meal.
Pheasant Inn – KeswickA fantastic meal - the food was outstanding and was complimented by fine service and nice drinks - wonderful. And we could book a table for the time we wanted. Our meal out was a great experience and we would highly recommend the pheasant Inn
