Thoroughly enjoyed the meal at the Wheatsheaf on an overnight stay. Very friendly staff and the food was great, with great beers and wines.

The incredible tasty food lunch menu and it's presentation always impresses our family.

Went for a meal to celebrate our Silver Wedding Anniversary. Had a main each and a dessert and a couple of drinks Great friendly service, food was excellent and also good value. Cracking little Bistro in Grasmere, highly recommend

Booked a table for 3 Thursday last. Waited nearly an hour for overpriced mediocre food. Steaks good, rest of the meal poor. Chunky chips ? What a joke - I'd say frozen chips, then deep fried, even gave me the blackened/bruised ones! Steak pie was good, chips as before, one piece soggy broccoli, one piece cauliflower couldnt cut into. No one asked if we enjoyed the food, we sat nearly 10 minutes after eating to finish drinks and plates still there. Wouldn't recommend.

Great pub food. Home style meals. Friendly host. Quick service. Quiet when we went, just a few customers. Off the beaten track Convenient if you are staying at the Crossroads B and B.

Really enjoyable meal, good value. Highlights were beef pie, chicken pie, gooseberry apple & treacle crumble. Service was very good. Will come again soon.

The food was amazing and the service was great, the waiters were very nice and happy and the price was good.

Very expensive, almost unreasonable. £14 for 3 prawns for a starter? On both occasions, breakfast and dinner we waited up to an hour for our food. This really let it down. Wouldn’t choose to eat/stay again.

Sea bass fillet was excellent; other than that our table of four was disappointed in the meal and to some extent the service, which was less warm than what we experienced elsewhere in the UK. Scallops were mediocre, as was the curry as the vegetables were overcooked. The side dish of veggies that accompanied our sea bass was also overcooked to the point of being inedible. Would not recommend.

Lovely pub with a warm welcome and nice home cooked food. Only a short walk out of Keswick town centre. Really reasonable!

If you want a piping hot, tasty Sunday lunch this is the place for you. Honestly, if we lived closer we wouldn’t bother ever cooking Sunday lunch again. We would just pop into the Greyhound Inn. The manager and staff were just lovely and it’s very dog friendly. We loved it here.

Excellent meal, good quality food, cooked to perfection, served by friendly staff, no long waiting times. We will definitely go again when we are next in the area
