Food and service excellent

Fillet steak was excessively fat and gristly. The “new” potatoes with the fish were not only “skin on” but were riddled with eyes. These should never have been served. The so called pan fried scallops were no more than one scallop cut into three layers. The ambience was acceptable (although the table near the entrance door on a cool and windy Saturday evening was not the best despite having been booked weeks in advance) until the loudest party of 8 arrived making normal conversation impossible. Although not within the direct control of management it is still a wonder why a man needs to shout past 5 diners in his party to explain the dangers in swimming in parts of the Bahamas. Although our server prompted comment as to our dissatisfaction there was no response.

Great food and atmosphere. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I thought it excellent value for money.

We always visit The Pheasant for a meal when we are in Keswick. The staff are always very pleasant and the food is good. Yes, you sometimes have to wait a little while but meals are freshly prepared and worth waiting for.

Our third visit to Lewis Bistro and it did not disappoint. Starters all fabulous and the main courses were to die for. Staff are amazing and go out of their way to accommodate as had wheelchair user and large dog in our party. Perfect restaurant in centre of Grasmere!

Excellent food, nice atmosphere, would definitely go again. Think they could have done with an extra staff member but they were really friendly and helpful.

My wife and I enjoyed our food; fish pie and sausage and mash. Tasty, well presented and reasonably priced for Keswick. However, service was quite slow, 30 minutes from taking order and all covers were not taken.

This is the second time we have dined at La Mezzaluna and we will definitely be back. Food, staff and service are fantastic.

We were warmly greeted and promptly served. The atmosphere was good:the only thing we didn’t like was the presence of dogs, although they were well behaved. Beware the size of the portions! We had looked forward to the delicious-sounding desserts, but couldn’t manage to eat anything else.

A lovely meal in a wonderfully peaceful environment. The salmon and chicken dishes were both cooked and seasoned to perfection with nicely prepared vegetables. The staff were knowledgeable but also most friendly and engaging. We do hope to be back sometime!

As ever, both the food and the customer service were excellent. The staff are friendly and helpful and the food ( we had Lamb Henry) was excellent. We’ll definitely be back!

Fantastic place. Beautiful olde world pub with lots of character, The staff are so friendly. Good honest Sunday roast.

Great service lovely food nice atmosphere

We had a beautiful roast dinner I had the beef it was lovely really good flavour on everything even my grandsons pasta bolognese was lovely clearly good produce I was a little sceptical because of some of the reviews but because the pub answered the feedback I thought I would give them benefit of the doubt I'm so glad I did The staff also were really nice

Without a doubt the best Sunday roast in our opinion !!! Quality ingredients cooked with love and served beautifully it’s like going to a friends for lunch …. A friend who’s a top chef ! Love it !
