We had breakfast, this morning. It was great, everything you need to start the day.

The food was absolutely stunning and came in a timely fashion. The only downfall I have on this booking is when seated, we were seated at a very large table to accommodate 4 (6 with two chairs at the end with no leg room), I’ve never had this instance at any other restaurant but they then seated another family, on the same table as us. No one approached us to apologise that they had overbooked and asked if this was suitable, it made the dining experience really awkward and uncomfortable and has put us off attending in the future, after booking in advance and paying a deposit, this was really very badly handled. Overall the staff were lovely, but to not be apologise to or approached was really unacceptable.

Top Tier roast!

We visited as a group of girls on a weekend break. Such a lovely restaurant. The staff were very attentive and really helped my friend who has allergies. The food was amazing. Would definitely recommend.

One of our favourite pubs in the lakes…traditional, quirky & cosy (in the bar area). Lovely food, local ale & friendly staff (especially Kookie the dog!) A great place to rest weary legs & refuel after a day in the fells.

Enjoyed a great meal last night. Delicious authentic recipes. We shall be back for more. Many thanks x

Another fine roast beef lunch for us all - gravy, veg and greens all spot on. In fact, it was agreed by all that it was the best we'd ever had in a restaurant. Keep up the excellent work! Ambience was lovely, and a nice chat by the fire afterwards rounded things off.

Another lovely meal with friendly and professional service. Good choice of starters and mains, all freshly cooked, scallops to perfection. Would have preferred the hazelnuts chopped rather than whole but that’s just personal preference! Lamb hotpot very tasty, good meat. Thoroughly recommend this restaurant.

Stayed and ate at Wheatsheaf for 2 nights, meals were perfect throughout the stay, staff were friendly helpful the whole time couldn’t do enough for us, would recommend eating and staying at the wheatsheaf?

Lovely food and good service! Enjoyed the fish and chips. Family members loved the burger and the beef pie.

We ate at The Pheasant Farm Inn as a group of seven people on Saturday evening. The service, food and atmosphere were all excellent! The food was tasty, cooked well and hot upon arrival. The staff were helpful and friendly even though they were extremely busy. I would certainly return back during future trips to the Lake District.
