Very friendly and helpful service. Traditional food and portions sizes good. Would definitely go back. My partner wanted a Cumberland sausage for his birthday hence choosing the Pheasant- excellent.

We had an excellent meal last night at the Horse and Farrier in Dacre to celebrate my birthday. We were looked after by Charlotte and Emma who were attentive and friendly. We never eat anywhere else now on our visits to Wayermillock.

We regularly visit Keswick in our motorhome. The pheasant is always our fist place to have dinner. It did not disappoint. The food is amazing and what friendly helpful staff it has. A must if your in the area

Excellent lunch and service. Really enjoyed the lamb curry but I can’t recommend the rhubarb sorbet which tasted of soap!

A good meal in very pleasant surroundings. The potted shrimps were delicious, as was the Sticky Toffee Pudding and the choice of clotted cream is always a delight. Lovely staff, too. Worth a visit!

Excellent pub and restaurant. Nothing overly fancy - just excellent food, well cooked and presented - and at a reasonable price. Staff very friendly as well and there's a pleasant, cordial atmosphere which all adds to the experience. As Arnie says: "I'll be back"...

A return visit to Penrith last week and we again picked Grant's for our evening meal. Lovely food on a small and select menu. We weren't disappointed in our choices and the wines were also exceptionally good. The restaurant is really worth stopping at if you're passing through the area.

Visited The Pheasant with my wife last night! We have been before and always find the standard of food to be excellent! The staff are friendly and give a great service, and the pub has a really nice atmosphere! We’ve already booked our next visit and would highly recommend to anyone thinking of giving it a try!

Had a lovely evening meal for two. Friendly staff and even moved us to larger table for a bit more room. Our meals were really nice and tasty.

A return for us to this restaurant as we visited previously to Carlisle and enjoyed a last minute meal but this time we had it organised. Staff attentive and its a lovely cosy and busy restaurant at times. Did have a bit of bother signing up for the table but otherwise I phoned to check they had booking ok. Food was excellent and would definitely would go again when we are down.

Sunday roast exactly as you would wish it to be! We were staying overnight and as always our breakfast was delicious. We will be returning again in the new year.

Excellent Sunday lunch! The Yorkshire pudding was huge but light and there was a good variety of vegetables. Booking recommended because this place is extremely popular with friendly, helpful staff.

If in or near Carlisle, this is a restaurant not to miss. The reception was very friendly and the service second to none, And the food.... we were wowed by every bite. We'll be back whenever we're in the vicinity.

Main courses of Turkey & Belly Pork were excellent including the vegetables, despite Belly Pork not being my preferred meat. My partner thoroughly enjoyed the turkey. My desert (Tira Misu) I was not impressed with. It bore more of a resemblance to a choux pastry chocolate eclair than Tira Misu. Service as always was excellent

Lovely venison pie (great pastry) and well cooked veg, delicious Xmas pud too. Thoroughly enjoyed the food. Good value. Little cold though as we were by the window.

FANTASTIC night. Everything about this restaurant is worth a 10 out of 10. From the friendly, warm welcome and service to the most delicious and fresh food. Great choice of dishes, with the best ingredients, great portion sizes- delicious! Such good value for money too. The staff are brilliant. We were out with our 3 young granddaughters who were really looked after, and made to feel special, such friendly people. The atmosphere and vibe in Mezzaluna is amazing. We can't wait to go back. Thank you.
