Third time we have eaten at La Mezzaluna - excellent as previous! Cauliflower Soup was fantastic and the mains were perfect particularly the steak.

Went for 1st time in years last night.....really good staff, very attentive,good food,lively atmosphere.

Booked on line for Sunday Lunch...very easy to do so would suggest you do the same. We both had the Roast Beef which was priced on average with other dining establishments in the area. Service was excellent but the meal was spoiled due to the plates being cold and as a result the meal went very cold quickly. Mentioned this to the waitress who suggested that I should have mentioned this sooner so that they could have reheated the meal I assume by using a microwave but my experience of reheating food in a microwave has not been to my satisfaction. We have been to the Wheatsheaf many times as it is very local to where we live and never had any reason to complain before but this time (which I'm sure was a one off) the cold plates resulting in the food going cold quickly was unfortunate. This experience will not put us off going again and I'm sure that this was an isolated case but certainly worth mentioning in a review.

Faultless food and service

Food was amazing as always and the staff are very attentive. Had a fab night.

Very good food and excellent service from a very friendly and cheerful man who was run off his feet. We were at the far end of the bar, away from the fire and it was chilly.

We booked a table for two to celebrate a birthday as we had several people recommend the restaurant to us and even though we have passed the premises in the car hundreds of times it often goes unnoticed. The website looked good and the booking procedure was straight forward. We were welcomed by very pleasant and attentive staff who made us feel as welcome as the interior was warm and friendly. The menu is uncomplicated yet attractively descriptive and simple to understand with a good choice of starters, mains and desserts.

What a friendly place! Atmosphere very welcoming, warm and cosy. Tasty food and super service all delivered in a relaxed, friendly manner. Will certainly be returning. Well done to the whole team!

Amazing in every way, atmosphere, food, service and fantastic value for money

We stayed this December in Keswick for my husbands 50th birthday celebrations. We booked a meal at the Pheasant Inn, Keswick for a party of 12, the quality of food, service, atmosphere and friendliness of ALL the staff was absolutely spot on. The staff could not do enough for us, highly recommend.

An excellent meal

Excellent service from the moment we arrived, food was delicious couldnt fault anything

We ordered a winter warmer for 3 people. This consisted of celery and apple soup which was hot and plentiful, albeit, not much taste. The turkey sandwich was disappointing as the thick bread was dry. The salad leaves were wilted so quite a sad meal overall. We thought we would have a glass of mulled wine and a mince pie to try and redeem the meal. This arrived cold with mince pies being served 20 mins later. We returned the cold mulled wine but ate the mince pies which were very nice. We had a glass of red wine for 2 of us and a coffee for the driver. The price was £64.00 with the mulled wines deducted as we couldn't drink them. Staff pleasant but not attentive service. yet we were charged 10% service charge. The hotel was nicely decorated for Christmas and the open fires were lovely. However, we probably won't be returning next year.
