A cosy pub with excellent food, a cosy log fire and super friendly staff! We came for a meal at Christmas and were not disappointed. The atmosphere was very welcoming and the staff genuinely cared and were interested in our holiday, brilliant hospitality! I really liked the timber beams and rustic feel as we sat by the log fire, having our 3 course meal. The quality of the food was spot on. Defo worth a stopping by for dinner but be sure to book on advice.

Great place and lovely staff. The food is lovely and if you dont eat large portions they do half portions of risotto etc. The xmas menu is great especially the lamb chops which were massive and cooked like they had been flame grilled so super tasty. We love this place and when we pop in always feel welcome. Also very nice toilets!

A great dining experience, the food was very good , well presented and all the “Team” were friendly and attentive. Very enjoyable.

Great service, atmosphere and fab food. Fun for all the family, we had 3 generations at our table. One of our guests was 20-30 mins late but it was no problem for the team who allowed the rest of us to relax with a drink and wait for them to join us, despite a busy restaurant. Nothing seemed too much trouble. Prices good value too. Thank you.

Great Thai food and friendly service.

Went as part of a spa day which included lunch, we chose the soup & sandwich option which was lovely. Staff on duty was very helpful & friendly

The pheasant inn is a real find we had a wonderful meal so booked again for the next day, the staff are very helpful and welcoming the food is first class, we go to keswick every year the pheasant inn will be our choice for dinner or lunch when we are there, great place to relax open fire and good food and great service.

Great pub in convenient location with superb atmosphere, warm & friendly service, and a range of decent food (including several, thoughtful non-meat options). Despite being booked in right at the end of the kitchen hours, we didn’t feel hurried in any way. Even after finishing-up the meal with the pub emptying out, no-one hounded us with the bill to try to get us out the door as quickly as possible. Enjoyed it so much the first time we made a return visit only a couple of days later to make the most of the opportunity during our shortish stay in the Lakes. Very much recommended!

Excellent food and good service

Had a spa package which was excellent! Lunch afterwards was good but service could be improved. Lovely friendly staff but they kept disappearing!
