Fantastic food with excellent service

I had lunch with friends in the bar area, there were other functions on at the same time, so maybe short staffed. The service was appalling, from waiting for a menu, to taking the order, the wrong soup arrived that I hadn't ordered, I was told they had run out of my order, but no one asked if it was ok to substitute Then had to wait for someone to order coffee, no one around so that we could pay, tried to pay at reception where there were 4 staff, told to go back in the bar area where we waited again, I love the netherwood, it holds special memories, but you need to improve on simple service

This is the Best Pub In the Lakes...The Food is excellent...The staff are more than accommodating.... And make you feel welcome. We always eat here when visiting Keswick it's a tradition of which we look forward too! I had the Beef Madras... Recommended by the delightful Barman who assured me It wasn't Too Hot and he was right.... The Beef was so tender and tasty... The food was well presented and Piping Hot... nd great value for money It's a delight and the Locals are lucky to have this Pub on their doorstep the best in Keswick.... we will be back! Well done to all at The Pheasant Inn!!

My first time here and I was immediately impressed by the website which answered most of my questions. My sole problem then was to telephone and ask if they catered for disabled customers and if there was a toilet available. Both those queries were affirmative. On arrival we found that our reserved table was ideally placed, so that was a relief. The service couldn't be faulted, and our four meals were served without delay. The calzone, lasagna and canneloni della casa were absolutely great, but unfortunately the risotto dish was tasteless. The price of the food was what I expected but I thought that the Peroni was a little expensive, but maybe I should get out more! We will definitely return.

Lovely restaurant in the heart of Grasmere. Warm friendly atmosphere, service and food first class. We had the garlic mushrooms followed by the chicken supreme. Beautifully presented and very tasty. Had a lovely evening and highly recommend.

Beautiful food (fillet steak was great!), reasonably priced wine and lovely atmosphere in the restaurant. Waitress was charming, despite being understaffed. Well done Lewis's!

A group of us went for Sunday lunch and we were not disappointed. Delicious food, cosy environment and staff superb. Would definitely visit again when in Keswick

The staff were great and accommodating with our allergies. They really took the time to make sure we were happy and there wasn't anything we couldn't eat, which was a refreshing change after other caterers in the area had not been so accommodating. We loved the food, we thought that the chips could be cooked a little longer but that is a tiny point in the whole. Can't speak highly enough. Thanks for making our anniversary great

Food excellent if not slightly pricy. When we were there, the premises were somewhat cold even though we were not near the door. Took quite a while for the desert menu to be brought to us then we were rushed off the table; (bill being given to us before we had finished desert) as there was another later booking waiting we were told. Not our fault that the staff took a while to offer the desert menu. No time for coffees afterwards.

Absolutely love this place great service one of our party were gluten free an they were very helpful food is always red hot an delicious very fast service always atentive to you asking if everything is OK an very reasonable price give it a go everyone

Booked for my daughters 18th. Food was beautiful. Everything was perfect. couldn’t have ask for better. Staff were very attentive even though they were fully booked. Would highly recommend.

Beautiful food! Particularly loved the seafood croquette starter. The waitresses provided perfect service.

Very friendly staff. Food of good quality but menu overall was uninspiring. Restaurant far too cold. Staff observed dithering & diners wrapping themselves in scarves & throws. Radiator lukewarm & inadequate. Mentioned the temperature to a member of staff who agreed that it was cold & that a lot of people complained about it.
