To say I had an incredible experience would be an understatement, the food was absolutely stunning, and the service staff, both those who were directly serving us and those who were working in general made the whole experience exemplary. In fact we enjoyed our time there so much, with the short wait times and constant feeling oif being welcome, that we came back for an early dinner the following day, and picking something completely different off the menu I can confirm that our first outstanding meal there was no exception. Fantastic Food, Fantastic Environment, and absolutely Fantastic Staff. Thankyou very much!

the food was well presented. we had the Sunday roast. only critical point was the amount of meat ,,,, one very large slice. We added a shared pigs in blankets and some cauliflower cheese between the four of us..... Dogs were very welcome and the staff were excellent. Not cheap but good value for money...

The Pub was very busy when we arrived, the staff apologised for any wait we may have as they were short staffed. But the two young ladies that served us were lovely and friendly, food was as amazing as always. Our favourite place to eat in Keswick.

Called again on Tuesday evening and we cannot fault this place. Staff all excellent and the young new lad was very good and will be a great asset for this restaurant. We are really fussy where we eat and the quality of the food that we order and again they excelled. Everytime I order a steak it is cooked to perfection and perfectly rare. Would recommend this restaurant to anyone. Thank you again and we will return shortly

Our first visit. Pleasant ambience. Excellent food (we had sea bass and pork as mains) - oh, and a special order chocolate cake for a certain celebration ! Friendly and attentive staff. Looking forward to a re-visit !

Food generally lovely good size portions, did have to send my first steak back as over but was lovely 2nd time round. Chicken main was lovely as was the ravioli starter very light. Staff were outstanding. I was a solo guest and not once did I feel odd or neglected, they kept the same window table for me each night . I had a spa treatment which was a scrub by Tanya it was fantastic. Abby, Dennis and Dan were outstanding

Excellent customer service with smiling faces. The staff are very helpful. With excellent food to die for with a fantastic menu. Completement to the chef and all the staff. I would highly recomend this country pub. With a friendly environment With call again on our return to Keswick.

Amazing meal & staff friendly & attentive. Fish pie was so full of fish as most I've tried are all potato & my hubby had one of the best rib-eyes he's tasted plus the price was so reasonable considering it is the Lake District, we will definitely return.

Myself & my Wife came for a meal on 25/08/2022 and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Excellent Service, food and atmosphere. Would book again next time we stay in Grasmere.

We come here time and time again and are never disappointed. The food is consistently good and great value for money. We did notice this time that they were a little short staffed, they just did not stop but that’s an issue everywhere at the moment and does not distract from the excellent food. We will be back again.

We had a delicious meal at Lewis's. It was a lovely relaxed atmosphere. They were short staffed on the night we visited, but the staff serving us were so friendly, it was not an issue. Portions are very generous. Would definitely recommend

Great food well cooked and presented.

Food was excellent, this was a family get together and you were a part way between family houses and we chose you as a place to meet. We were welcomed, shown to a more than adequate tsble. The establishment was clean. Staff friendly and efficient. Wish you were closer.

I’m still at Augill castle checked in yesterday and checking tomorrow the moment we drove up the drive and the castle came into view it took my breath away it was like something in a fairy tale my wife who was the car with me didn’t know where we were going and became very emotional, once inside it just kept getting better we are In room Brakenbar and it is stunning and our wardrobe is a turret our hosts are very professional and nothing is too much trouble afternoon tea was delicious, the staff are friendly and we will return
