I took my wife here and was plesently suprised. I had the rib eye (seasoned well) and chips, with bree and bacon balls to start. the Wife had the featherblade beef. Both were great meals. The wine was good and the restaurant had a great atmosphere. The service was classy. There was live music downstairs, I think his name was Michael Dell. Good guitarist, played some really well picked songs, songs you could sing along to, not cringey at all! Very well delivered. Really enjoyed the whole night.

Superb Sunday dinner, 3 beef, 1 chicken and 1 gammon. All served with Greens, spuds and roasties. Extras were pigs in blankets and cauliflower cheese, lots of rich gravy. The staff were very welcoming and the fire gave the pub a cosy atmosphere.

Absolutely delish. Party of 3. 2 of us had the seabass and 1 steak pie. Compliments to the chef. Entertainment later on was 1st class. Thanks for a lovely evening

50 year class reunion of school friends. Having not seen each other since leaving school in Manchester all those years ago wanted to have a “special” lunch together.Table booked for 7.None of us had been to Baileys prior so were going on hear say…..we weren’t disappointed ! Good selection of wines for the drinkers,food varied,excellent and different choices from the norm for the veggies amongst us.Hot,well presented.Choose an upstairs table so we could catch up ( quieter area) Soft background music played through out.Service outstanding ! Couldn’t do enough for us …Maya our hostess was an utter delight,provided fantastic attention to our needs,no pressure to hurry up or free up table.Price range very good.Already planning our next visit highly recommended.

What can we say …. Possibly the best pub meal ever. Credit where it is due, just could not fault , taste, portion size, the lot! And the staff .. even better. Thanks so much x

Great food for 4 people and we all had different! -Beef Bourgogne was tasty and beef tender, fish batter was crispy, pie was beef and crusty, sausage and mash-sausages really tasty. Chips chunky and well fried. Enjoyable night thanks to all

Great steaks - locally sourced and cooked perfectly. Table service was excellent and all reasonably priced. Will visit again.

We went on Saturday evening. Service and food excellent. The only criticism that we had, and we did mention at the time, was the restaurant was very cold, both tables either side said the same. They did try turning on the radiator and also the heating thermostat but unfortunately nothing happened. Would defiantly like to return but maybe when warmer. This is why I've only given a 2 for the atmosphere unfortunately.

One of the best selections of afternoons tea I've had. Also had my baby shower there and they decorated for me too (I didn't ask!) it was so lovely and the staff were fantastic. 10/10!

Lovely food and service as always

I booked a 60th birthday party for 20 people at Baileys. Communication beforehand about menus (what was and what was not available), table set out and timings for everybody to arrive were EXCELLENT. For the meal itself, the bar staff and waiters were extremely friendly and could not do enough for all the guests to feel at ease and "at home". The food was excellent, hot to the table and well presented. The evening was a wonderful success and this was down to the staff at Baileys. Thank you very much. We will be going back there again. All 20 of us would recommend Baileys to all.

Fantastic service and food was excellent.

Fantastic cosy pub in beautiful, charming village. A lovely place to visit. Food and drink great and lovely, friendly cosy atmosphere.
