Baileys Bar and Restaurant – BuxtonLovely staff: great food with a great attitude, couldn't do enough, but not intrusive. Very interesting menu: I had the best Catalan fish stew outside of Spain, the steaks were cooked en pointe, fabulous experience overall. Lovely atmosphere. Really can't recommend enough. They also gave a good steer on wine choices. Go there!
Baileys Bar and Restaurant – BuxtonFantastic sunday lunch spent with the family at Baileys. All the staff were attentive and thorough, offering recommendations when asked. A great aray of drinks on offer. The food was delicious, we loved everything we ordered. I really appreciate how much attention has been put into sourcing their ingredients from local suppliers and showcasing what is on offer.
Baileys Bar and Restaurant – BuxtonEnjoyed a delicious Sunday Roast for our 3 generation family last weekend. Delightful staff and service couples with good beer and cosy and atmospheric fires - perfect Sunday afternoon ! . It was our second visit and we’ll definitely be back again!
The Old Gate Inn – MatlockLovey Sunday lunch highly recommend
Baileys Bar and Restaurant – BuxtonLovely atmosphere, great staff. Venison and Steak cooked to perfection. Live music very loud if seated downstairs but can request seating upstairs.
Baileys Bar and Restaurant – BuxtonWent to celebrate my birthday, staff amazing Definitely worth a visit the food was top notch
Baileys Bar and Restaurant – BuxtonHave enjoyed several superb Sunday lunches here, but this time my friend and I tried the evening menu. We were not disappointed. I had the rich succulent beef bourginan with lovely mash and very nicely cooked seasonal veg - not mushy just the right side of al dente. My friends chicken, ham and leek pie was a proper full pie - no silly puff pastry lid - with lovely shortcrust pastry and a tender, delicious filling. Oh, and we enjoyed a lovely starter of pate and toast. A super meal from start to finish with good service.
The Old Gate Inn – MatlockBooked a Saturday lunchtime to celebrate my Mum's birthday. Table of four of us. Every element of the visit was top-notch. Food was superb, both in terms of quality and portions. Pricing was reasonable for the quality. Staff were friendly and attentive, and all of us throughly enjoyed it. Thank you for looking after us. We'll look forward to coming back sometime in the future :)
Baileys Bar and Restaurant – BuxtonFabulous food. Very attentive staff. The one vegetarian option was unavailable, but luckily we eat fish. So check before you go, if vegetarian required. Maybe you could add a 2nd veg. option to the menu please?
Baileys Bar and Restaurant – BuxtonEnjoyed a meal here before the theatre. Friendly and attentive staff. Warm atmosphere. Lots of choice on the menu. Food was tasty and price was very reasonable.
Baileys Bar and Restaurant – BuxtonBeautiful food and drink We will be back
Baileys Bar and Restaurant – BuxtonWhat an absolute gem of a find! The restaurant was cool and stylish but the service and food were off the scale! We felt so welcomed, were super impressed with the obvious passion and knowledge that the staff had about the food and the food itself was excellent. We decided it was probably the best Sunday lunch we’ve had out ever! They even went so far as to turn our leftover pigeon blankets into a stylish duck for us to take home! 100% recommend. Thank you for a lovely afternoon.
The Two Hares – GlossopI had booked a table for 3 to enjoy a nice evening out with friends as part of a weekend away in the Peaks. The service, meal and atmosphere was fantastic!I especially appreciated that we did not have to wait to long for the waiter to take our order. He ensured we had our drinks ,our starter and explained that as there was a large party that had ordered at the same time that our mains could take longer. We had a starter, main and dessert and the food was well presented and delicious ! We really liked that the restaurant had a dual function as a bar too, whereby there was in-house music entertainment which set a good atmosphere whereby people could just come along and enjoy drinks and live music later in the evening. We would highly recommend and definitely book again in the future !
Baileys Bar and Restaurant – BuxtonFood was excellent, quick service and staff were very attentive!
