We had lunch in the Rex Whistler room, which is a lovely, bright space. The staff were friendly and helpful. The food was good - slight criticism that despite serving salad they had run out of coleslaw.
Renishaw Hall and Gardens Cafe – ChesterfieldWe had a wonderful Roast Beef dinner with all the trimmings on Sunday - it was absolutely delicious. The staff were so friendly and made a fuss of our GSP too. It is a very old and traditional pub and I would highly recommend a visit.

He ordered the Kangaroo Steak & I had the filet for our mains; everything was cooked to perfection, service was 10/10 and our server was fantastic! I did put a special request for his birthday but they perhaps don’t do anything for birthdays (which does not matter as we had a very pleasant evening anyway). Definitely going to be returning!

The food was tasty and well presented. It was very good value for money. Staff were attentive but we didn’t feel hurried to finish eating and leave. We will hopefully book again next year as this has become a family tradition.
