We'd been looking at Bailey's for a while now and failed to get in as a walk in. We had a window seat downstairs which was great, the starters were lovely especially the Manchester egg, then I had the dirty burger which was massive but lovely. All round good vibes and friendly staff

We had the best meal here on Saturday evening! We were recommended it by our accommodation (Hoe Grange farm - highly recommend!) and it was just perfect. Lovely cosy pub setting with beer garden, and such yummy food! Pie of the day (lamb) was brilliant. Will be back one day :-) lovely friendly staff too and quick service.

Afternoon tea to celebrate a birthday. Table was well decorated, the staff very helpful and informative. The food was lovely, more than enough for 2 hungry chaps. Mant thanks.

This was our first visit since the refurb and we had a lovely time. We all had the Roast beef dinner and it didn’t disappoint. We went with our little girl and whilst they don’t have a kids menu, they said they could do anything on the menu in a kids portion which was even better for us. The staff can’t do enough for you, we really appreciated the little extras and they even made my daughters blackcurrant in a fancy glass with ice to make her feel special. Will be booking again soon

We had a wonderful Sunday lunch at Bailey's to celebrate our 40th Wedding anniversary with our son, Liam. The food was delicious and the customer service exceptional. The upper floor dining area was welcoming and bright. The selection of food available was extensive, however, we all thoroughly enjoyed the roast lunch with all the trimmings.

A very high quality meal. The steak in particular was top draw. Wine excellent, and service high quality. One of the guests in our party described it as one of the best he had ever sat down to. Exceeded expectations which were high anyway.

I booked ahead a table for lunch on 22/4 as the website suggested you had to do that to have food on the day. We checked as soon as we arrived, the table number allocation , and what leeway there would be around the time of the booking (1.15pm) . In the event, there was a queue, and we got food ordered about 1.30pm, then were shown to our table (30). We were advised their would be a wait. After 30 minutes and noticing other people who came after us were having their meal delivered from the kitchen, and got up to query why this was so - then I discovered we had not been sat at our booked table because the previous people there (I assume) had not left and we had been shown to a different table. The tables were identified by a wooden spoon with a number on it- but our spoon had been faced about. I only realised this as I got up to check on the apparent delay and saw the table next to ours (29) and then ...table 30! where 2 ladies were sat and just finishing off their lunch. I went back to "our" table, turned the spoon around - no'28!. We had been sat at table 28 by the waitress! The ladies at table 30 (our table) said food had been brought ages ago but it wasn't their order so had refused it, and it was taken back to the kitchen. Long and the short of it was, we lost time in the grounds which we had come for because of this mix up. Once I had cornered a lady emerging from the kitchen, she knew and was aware of what had happened but nobody at the time had thought to try and resolve whom the food belonged to. My son thought I was being somewhat awkward going to ask about where our food was- turns out I shouldn't have listened to him, and the table seating system doesn't work when booked tables are not freed up for the next booking! Spoilt the feeling for me of why we were there - a return after some 25 years. We got an apology - but lost the essential time - we were in there for 1.50 hrs when it should really have only been 45 minutes.

Arrived for afternoon tea. One of our party was celebrating her 70th birthday. The staff had decorated our table with flowers, fairy lights and party hats. They sang Happy Birthday to her when they brought the food out. Had a lovely afternoon. Staff were brilliant, nothing was too much trouble. Will definitely recommend the afternoon tea experience to friends and we will be visiting again.

Pre Booked for 42 places a guided tour of the hall followed by afternoon tea. £50 each. The tour was excellent. The afternoon tea was lovely. However despite giving final numbers a week prior to attending the service took 45 minutes. Tea and coffee were flowing so we persevered. Unfortunately the 2 dietary requirements clearly indicated on the confirmation email the week before were missed and the 2 ladies had to wait longer to get their food. Due to one of them having a time constraint she had to take her food with her in a box and leave. Shame after what had been an enjoyable morning. Reported to management at the office who were apologetic but nothing more.

Absolutely amazing staff, we went for my mums birthday and they went above and beyond for her! So appreciative and absolutely made her day having a gluten free cake, thank you so much!

We came here to celebrate my sisters 30th birthday with afternoon tea. The food was delicious but really let down by staff service on the day. We unfortunately had to ask three times for tea and coffee and then ask for milk. This was after over an hour of waiting for any staff to even ask for our order. Overall a very disappointing afternoon especially when we have been before and the service has been up to scratch. More staff are definitely needed to provide a better experience.
