Stopped here for lunch on monday having just completed a blustery walk on and around the High Peak Trail. Fire was alight which was very heartening after the wind and odd rain shower. Hosts were extremely welcoming, nothing too much trouble. Food was superb, great local ale, a nice time was had by all - thank you!

We had Sunday lunch which was delicious. Fresh vegetables and proper roast potatoes with lashings of gravy. The service was really good and done with genuine warmth and a smile. I can't recommend this lovely restaurant enough.

The atmosphere and food at Baileys was just perfect. The staff were attentive, efficient and welcoming, generating a lovely relaxed atmosphere. We were only visiting Buxton for the weekend, but would happily return to Baily’s.

The cafe is great with a great atmosphere. We booked in advance but as we were there fairly early maybe unless you are arriving after 11am maybe that’s not nescessary. The staff are very professional and treated us with a smile. The food was good and we received everything together which we appreciated. Would definitely recommend this cafe. Xxx

Second time we have visited & had a meal at Baileys. This occasion was our 33rd anniversary. Shown to a table in the window, which we really enjoyed sitting there. Drinks ordered & supplied very quickly. Order for food was taken at the same time, this was brought to us very quickly. Presented very well & cooked to perfection, a smile was added by the waitress. After finishing our main course we selected a dessert, this was most excellent! Many thanks to everyone involved in making our lunch most memorable & enjoyable. We will be back in the near future.

Fully recommend Renishaw hall and gardens for a lovely day out. We booked an afternoon tea at the cafe which was both varied and lovely. The hot sausage roll and mini quiche were cooked to perfection. The food was very tasty and we had enough refills of coffee and tea. The service was fabulous and very friendly. The surroundings very comfortable. All the staff onsite were extremely helpful and friendly. Would definitely go again and recommend it to anyone. The gardens were beautiful as were the woodlands and we loved the fairy trail too!

Visited Baileys during a long weekend break in Buxton. Would thoroughly recommend, especially if you like steak. Treated myself to a large fillet that was by far the best steak I've had in years! My wife had the Seabass that was equally as impressive. Great service and very reasonable prices. Long may they prosper and we will definitely return on our next visit to Buxton.

Stayed in an Airbnb pretty much next door so this was super handy. Saturday evening meal was fabulous and we returned for Sunday lunch. The roast (I had nut roast, hubby the gammon) was superb. Great value, great vibe and lovely friendly staff. Fantastic all round.

The visit didn’t start that well as we were booked at 19:45 but weren’t seated at our table until 20:15 (no recognition in the form of free drink or bit of discount was offered for this). That and having to ask a second time for the bottle of wine ordered is why I only rated service as a 3. Food is good and good value without being spectacular and there is lots of it. The atmosphere is good if you like somewhere that’s a bit louder than your average restaurant. We were in until just after 2200 and by then downstairs was pretty lively and loud because of the live music which does impinge on the ambiance upstairs but the restaurant is very clear that live music will be on so we don’t have an issue with it although some people might. We had an enjoyable night but I wouldn’t rush back.

We ate here twice on our weekend away in Buxton celebrating a special birthday. What a find! Perfectly cooked and presented good quality food with generous portions and fantastic hospitality. We had burger meals, sea bass and the roast on the Sunday. We had ice-cream and cheesecake for afters. Well done and thank you for being part of making our weekend special.
