Very nice food with a great atmosphere Excellent service from a very friendly team of staff

Me and my husband attended the history of Glossop evening with 5 course tasting menu and it was just fantastic. Matthew the historian was not only informative but kept us entertained through the whole evening. I learnt so much about the local area and it was truly fascinating. Then the food to match that was just mind blowing. My favourite dishes were the lamb and the suet pudding. I'd definitely attend another evening like this as it's not something I've ever been to before. My only critique is I wanted a mocktail as I don't drink which I ordered, however when we got the bill we'd been charged £10 which is the cost of the cocktail which I thought was a bit unfair as It doesn't contain any alcohol. Apart from that though the evening was flawless. Would highly recommend!

Second time we have been for Sunday launch and let's just say bang on food, nice and friendly wel coming staff, we will be back.

Three of us had a meal on Saturday 20 Sept, each having different menu choices, including from the veggie menu, and they were all excellent, as was the service - particularly as a member of staff went above & beyond to reunite me with my phone after I carelessly left it behind.

Such a lovely quaint Derbyshire pub. Beautiful view from the garden. Lovely staff, so accommodating. Food superb. Looking forward to returning for Sunday lunch after a long walk with our dog in the beautiful landscape.

6 of us had a lovely breakfast here yesterday in beautiful surroundings. The food was of great quality, good value, and freshly cooked. The staff were helpful and they didn't hurry us- even after we had eaten - we were very relaxed and stayed for extra drinks! We highly recommend this restaurant and we will certainly be coming back. Thanks once again.

We’re here on holiday for our 50th wedding anniversary and chose Baileys Bar and Restaurant to enjoy a meal to celebrate. We were not disappointed, the food was fabulous but the staff were fantastic. Thank you all so much for making our night so good, shame the weather was so unbelievably bad

The table looked amazing and the food was lovely and the presentation first class. We have had many afternoon teas and this was one of the very best. The staff were attentive, friendly and very helpful. I have been driving this route on a regular basis and for many years passed by, not anymore cannot wait to go back. Thank you.

Booked for lunch as it was my birthday. The table was beautifully decorated and my quiche came with a candle on it. Food was lovely and staff very attentive and welcoming. Came back later to have tea and cake. One of the staff asked if I wanted my candle back to go on the cake. He was very considerate to an elderly gentleman with a walking aid and turned it round for him and moved other chairs out of the way so he could get out safely. Very nice to see. All in all a lovely experience.

We ate at Baileys twice during our stay in Buxton. The food was delicious and the service friendly and efficient. My complements must go to the chef for cooking the sea bass to perfection!

We had the afternoon tea for a belated birthday celebration. We were greeted by a staff member and shown to our table which was presented and dressed beautifully. The food was delicious and plenty of it. The staff were polite and attentive, and the value for money experience was excellent. Thank you all, we will most definitely be back.

Lovely village pub with a good atmosphere, friendly staff and great food. Visited twice whilst staying at a holiday cottage and would recommend.
