Such a fabulous evening dining experience. A lovely welcome from polite, professional staff. Such a nice atmosphere. I had a delicious cocktail. Our food was amazing, we are so grateful to all who made our evening very enjoyable. Highly recommend the Mushroom starter, and the Pork Belly.

On arrival, I called in for a snack after my long journey. The staff were friendly and helpful. As a vegan, my choice was limited. A teacakes was recommended, which I had toasted, with a cup of coffee, both of which were delicious. I later took my pre-booked vegan afternoon tea. The staff were again very welcoming. The table was beautifully decorated and looking out onto the courtyard. I had a large pot of good strong tea and a generous selection of finger sandwiches, a fruit scone, and some cakes, with some fresh grapes and berries. The bread was fresh and good quality. I wasn't able to eat it all at one sitting. My only minor disappointments were that the scone was a bit dry and that two cakes were the same, but they were all very good, and went down fine with the tea. I also noticed the coffee was served in a beautiful coffee pot. There are lots of interesting photos in the café and it's Whistler Room is beautifully decorated. All in all, it was the treat to myself that I had hoped for.

Had the Quintessential Afternoon Tea for my birthday there was 11 of us ladies, the food was delicious and such great service they really looked after us and the table was set out perfectly. Would definitely recommend the Renishaw Hall cafe. We were sat in the quieter side of the cafe.

We had Sunday lunch at the Two Hares to celebrate my husband's birthday and were not disappointed. The food was exceptional and the service first class. The waiting staff kept the room moving with their efficiency and good humour, with no-one waiting too long for food and drinks to be served. They were delightful. I am gluten free and was made extremely welcome despite what this means for the kitchen. When my roast dinner came I was delighted to discover a specially made Yorkshire Pudding, unasked for but very welcome! This attention to detail and the desire to make the Two Hares the best it can be is what makes this a very special place. We loved our time and will be back very soon!

Two Hares delivers an exceptional dining experience that easily cements it as a local favourite. Having recently undergone a sleek refurbishment, the venue feels fresh, inviting, and wonderfully atmosphere-driven for a chilled night out. The Mexican-inspired menu on Saturday night was a total flavour explosion! Every single bite was pure joy, starting with the standout favourite: the Elote (Mexican corn). The bright, zesty lime and smoky chipotle mayo paired with crumble-in-your-mouth queso fresco was nothing short of stunning. The rest of the spread was just as incredible—from loaded Nachos and mouthwatering Pork Carnitas to delicious Adobo Chicken Tacos, rich Beef Birria Tacos, and crispy Fish Tacos. Finishing it all off with a warm bowl of Churros was the ultimate sweet high note! Beyond the incredible food, the energy and hospitality at Two Hares are next level. The front-of-house crew deliver the kind of top-tier service you just don't see every day. They are genuinely warm, wildly attentive, and make you feel like total royalty from the second you walk through the door. Two Hares is an absolute gem of a restaurant, and it has officially locked in a permanent spot on our regular dining rotation. We already can't wait to go back!

Lovely place. Comfortable seating. Very clean. Drinks ok, but we asked for a panini to be altered and were told they were pre-made. Food ok, but I’ve had better.

Excellent lunch (mexican quiche), with generous portion of chips and salad. Great quality food and friendly, efficient service. Prices also very reasonable. Thank you!

We had a very nice meal at Bailey’s. It was recommended to us and we weren’t disappointed. The staff were friendly and helpful. The service was very good and the restaurant had a nice friendly atmosphere. I would go again next time I visit Buxton.

We waited 10 minutes for someone to serve us at the “Wait here” sign. We were then told to make our way to a table, rather than being shown to one, only to find dirty glasses and condiment sachets strewn across it. We ended up moving ourselves to another table. We ordered at the bar, and I ordered bangers and mash. Unfortunately, the sausages were rock hard, as though they had been sitting in an oven all day or had been reheated several times. I couldn’t eat them and left them on my plate. We eventually decided to leave. To make matters worse, a man at the bar was repeatedly swearing, and this was not addressed by any member of staff. We also had our dog with us. There was a designated dog station with a jar of dog treats, but the jar was empty. When we asked if there were any more, we were told they could sell us some from behind the bar! Overall, this was a dreadful experience from start to finish. The service was poor, the food was unacceptable, and the atmosphere was unpleasant. I would strongly advise against eating here.

Another excellent lunch at Renishaw yesterday. Great service, good food and relaxed atmosphere. Only criticism is that the Greek salad could have done with an accompanying pitta bread.
