Excellent Italian meal at this restaurant…. First time we have visited under new ownership but will definitely be back as excellent service and great quality food served within a very reasonable timeframe given how busy they were when we went.

We had heard good reports about the hour glass and decided to try it for ourselves. Why have we not tried this restaurant before! The food was exceptional. The sauce that was with my Cornish Sole was superb and the fish itself was cooked to perfection. Quite possibly the best fish dish I’ve ever had. We ate in the back bar which I found a bit dark. This is perhaps its only fault. The staff were natural and easy going, neither too attentive or dismissive. It won’t be the last time we use this restaurant Thank you Hour Glass.

This restaurant is a must if you like Tapas, excellent food, reasonably priced, particularly for drinks, could not fault it. Brilliant. The prawns and the Brie are superb

23rd August after our wonderful wedding we went back to the Hour Glass for Drinks and Nibbles... We Had a fabulous night chatting with our nearest and dearest and had cheesy chips for a snack! We have eaten here before and the food is divine! Thank you all for a wonderful night..we ended our night on a Top Note!

A really lovely evening. The terrace provided a great view of Paignton and Torquay. The owner was friendly and efficient. The food was really good value and delicious- loads to choose from and cooked fresh to order. The duck balls and prawns were particularly fab!

Second visit one year on from the first. Excellent food, service with a smile, pleasant surroundings and good value to boot. Fairly quiet in the restaurant at 1.30pm on a weekday which was very nice for chatting and made it feel relaxed and a little bit special. Hope to be back, aiming for it to be less than a year!

Had a lovely lunch with a friend who said the pasta she had was one of the best. We both enjoyed our meals, the friendly service and pleasant surroundings. I had my birthday lunch there last week with 12 friends and we all had a great time. Being in Axminster feel very lucky we have such a great Italian restaurant. Will definitely be going again.

Our second visit again and, once again, it did not disappoint at all. Excellent food, great service and a lovely ambiance. Belluno has become our 'go to' Italian restaurant and we will be going there again and again from now on.

Our favourite place to eat in Exeter. Food is fresh and delicious and the staff, friendly and fun. PS Atmosphere normally buzzing but unusually it was quiet in Exeter on this night - hence my 4/5 ( normally definitely 5/5)

Three of us decided to visit the The Hour Glass Inn for lunch last Saturday and aren't we pleased we did. All three of us had an amazingly good meal, all three of us had the Scampi for starters and the lamb for mains and yes the chef has to be commended for such wonderful dishes. Both the barman and waitress were welcoming, cheerful and attentive. Keep up the good work, this is now our No.1 place to eat in Exeter.
