Red Alligator – Bishop AucklandPoor experience. Sat us next to the fire escape which was used as a revolving door for children to come in and out from outside - it’s November so it’s freezing with the doors open. Service was slow and just not a great atmosphere. The revamp hasn’t really improved anything
Farmhouse Dine & Wine – DurhamThe food was very tasty and well presented.
Hall Garth Hotel – DarlingtonBooked the table at 6 as we knew we had to leave at 7.30 as we had tickets for Auckland at 8. Our food didn’t come until nearly 7.15. Food was absolutely delicious but couldn’t really enjoy it as had to eat it so quickly to go. Paid for the 2 course happy hour but only had 1 course and no discount offered. A shame as the food was so good but the wait was too long.
Farmhouse Dine & Wine – DurhamHappy hour 3 course meal great value for money. Portion sizes were well worth it. Highly recommend the chocolate fudge cake for dessert. Friendly staff and good vibes.
Farmhouse Dine & Wine – DurhamWe enjoyed a delicious family meal here at the weekend. Warm welcome, great service and good prices. Wholeheartedly recommend and we look forward to returning again on our next visit to Durham. Thank you Pesto Italiano!
Pesto Italiano – DurhamAbsolutely beautiful food
The Farmers Arms – DurhamI’ve visited a few times for the 3 courses for £10 deal and have been completely impressed by the quality, portions and service every time, as have the other diners in my party. It’s a lovely relaxed and friendly restaurant and bar. The staff are all incredibly friendly, helpful and attentive. I cannot recommend it highly enough.
The Farmers Arms – DurhamFantastic Sunday lunch, Went for the 3 course special for £19.95, great value for money Only minor gripe service was a bit slow and not that busy
The Farmers Arms – DurhamHad lunch on Tuesday. A nice warm welcome. We treat ourselves to a steak. Food was cooked just the way we asked for, but the chips were to die for. Will definitely be back.
Farmhouse Dine & Wine – DurhamMy mum and I had a lovely afternoon. The treatments were very relaxing and the staff very polite. Our afternoon tea was very good and we were given a a carry out bag to take home the remainder of the cakes. Food 5/5 Service 5/5 Atmosphere 4/5 Value for money 3/5 ... This is our 5th spa this year and although it was lovely it lacked a little comfort.... The wooden loungers were uncomfortable and the plastic glasses for the water were well worn. Floors were slippy ( I appreciate this may be unavoidable in some places). Over all it was a lovely experience
Hall Garth Hotel – DarlingtonExcellent as all ways
The Farmers Arms – DurhamLovely Sunday lunch yesterday, although a very long wait for dessert which arrived cold & without custard which we asked for, however they did bring a small jug out but it was barely warm. Seemed plenty of staff hanging around bar area chatting. Probably would go again & hopefully better service.
Farmhouse Dine & Wine – DurhamWent for Sunday lunch excellent value for money 3 course for 20 Starter was nice garlic mushrooms I had beef dinner it was decent nothing too special but certainly did the job the gravy was lovley I had sticky toffee dessert really nice The place itself starting to look worn but still cosy
The Farmers Arms – DurhamWe visit here so often, but we booked a table for four and waited hours for our meals. 50 minutes between courses with no warning or update. The portion sizes were terrible. Starters were cold, so was the pasta. There was a group in that dominated the entire restaurant. The meal was okay, but had much better from here. Don't think we will be back. So sad, as we've had many happy meals from here.
Farmhouse Dine & Wine – DurhamA warm welcoming atmosphere with very friendly and helpful staff. Food was very tasty and reasonably priced. Would definitely recommend. Pan fried mushroom starter was delicious.
